thee pub experience
by 8bitDETH
the drinks are cheap, the staff is cool, and i think you can smoke in there. it was never said and no one ever stopped me from lighting one down. so honestly you really get a great pub experience... quintessential. with that said you also get some drunken d-bags who are always looking for good fight. if you're looking for ladies, they're usually the kind of girls who start looking good after a few drinks and with drinks being pretty cheap this good make or break you. over all it's one of the better places to be in orange county, but some of the patrons are just major creeps. oh and as well, it does not help if you are a person of color coming into this pub. just fore warning.
- Pros: cheap
- Cons: d-bag city
Great Atmosphere

I've been going to O'Hara's about once per week since I began law school at Chapman, about one block away.
The staff is very friendly and they let you bring in outside food. The beer is cheap and I have yet to meet a pretentious person there.
You don't have to bring a fist of cash anymore- they finally got a credit card reader.
- Pros: Cheap drinks, friendly staff
- Cons: A bit dreery
the Local Spot in Orange
by theWook
i call it the Local Spot cause i've been going to O's for the better part of 10 years. it's a nice spot that has good bartenders and always something to see at O's. it's has 2 pool tables and a couple video games. the drinks are reasonably priced and the ladies at O's are usually very nice to look at!
- Pros: Popular spot, pretty girls and friendly regulars
- Cons: it's a little crowded at times, the drink pour is about average and small restrooms
Frankly my dear...

O'Hara's is more than just an Irish pub, it's also a local hangout for Orange residents and Chapman University coeds. Shamrocks and wood paneling give the bar its pub feel, as does its selection of beers on tap. Head into the back room for a game of pool. Or plunk change into the eclectic jukebox and relax to some tunes. The service and the clientele are friendly.
No Guinness?!?!
by dakara930
What kind of Irish pub has no Guinness (or at least another dark stout like Murphy's)? I drank a German beer at an "Irish pub" that didn't have any Irish brews available. Be forewarned...the vibe as ok, but seeing all the green in the pub only reminded me of what I wasn't drinking. Also, the servers didn't serve...you have to go to the bar to order, only no one told us this until we'd already been sitting down for 20 minutes (and the bar was pretty empty at the time).
- Pros: Casual Atmosphere
- Cons: No Guinness
NO Black & Tans?
by black_tangirl
How can a Irish Pub not have Black & Tans????? Car bombs not so good. Drunks everywhere! Old Drunkens, and chick who hangs out there that live in Orange is really not a pretty sight to see. I didn't catch her name but she has a rather large butt, in her mid 40ish range...... uses really nasty language, 80ish big hair! Not a good thing! Not the best pub I have been to!!!
- Pros: It's in Orange
- Cons: No Black & Tans
Outside of the name, this is not an Irish bar.

If O's is the best Irish bar in orange county, then Taco Bell is the best Mexican restaurant. If one wants to make the argument it's the best pub in the OC (and it's very far from it), go for it. But please, don't confuse this bar with being an Irish bar. Outside of the name in green lights, that is where it ends. You won't find authentic Irish food, drink, music, or craic. It's just a bar. Get over it people.
O's is the BEST!!!
by crzygrlsrok5150
I love O's, a lot of my best memories are at O's. The manager, bartenders and boucers are the best. You can walk in there and see a lot if the same people, everyone is friendly and fun. The drinks are good, the prices are good and the people are the best, what more could you want!!!
- Pros: People, drinks, prices
Located in historic Orange, this Irish pub is a local hang filled with Irish cheer.
