I came here for my bridal shower. A day I will surely remember for the rest of my life. A member of my group "ACCIDENTALLY" knocked over a decorative item on one of the shelves. One of the employee's came over looked & walked away. The owner then came over stood there w/ her hand over her mouth & said nothing. Not one employee said anything. We apologized & offered to pay for the damages SEVERAL TIMES. Only to continue to be ignored. I asked the owner why she couldn't talk to us. She simply walked away. I thought her behavior was extremely rude & uncalled for. Accidents happen. If it was some prized possession, maybe it shouldn't have been at her work place. Everyone in my group was extremely uncomfortable & to top off my GREAT day a few of my guests walked past the kitchen and overheard the staff & OWNER talking trash on us. I had a horrible time & will never forget it...

Pros: scones

Cons: owner

I had an extremely enjoyable lunch with friends this weekend at Sweet Divas. They had a special holiday menu with creative choices like Christmas in Paris and Rudolph’s Tea. The presentation was fun and had a great combination of tastes. The Paris dish had amazing cheeses. The course that ended the meal was delicious. I recommend it highly.

This place is a MUST for anyone who loves delicious food in a comfortable relaxed atmosphere! I will go back again and again so I can try everything on this extensive menu. The scones are so amazing that I ate half without any of the delicious jam and sweet cream that accompanies them. The only negative thing I experienced was another group of women (I refuse to call them ladies) who were dining near me. They were so unpleasant, rude, and demanding of the gracious server that I couldn't believe it. To her credit, this server was pleasant and tried very hard to cater to their impossible demands. I was glad when they left and told the very nice girl that at least we weren't related to those women! I feel sorry for their husbands, they must be very unhappy.

Pros: food quality, taste and presentation - no screaming children

A group of my friends meet at Sweet Divas recently. At first I didn’t know what to expect because it is also a tea house, and some tea houses focus on the tea with only substandard food. I was astonished over the delightfully uncommon choices on the brunch menu. My friends and I chose different items so we could sample as much as a variety as possible. Everything I tasted was exceptional! I also bought some of the gorgeous treats from the pastry case to take home to my family and learned that they taste even better than they look. My friends and I will dine at this remarkable place again! I hope everyone will go and enjoy the extraordinary Sunday brunch at Sweet Divas because it’s an exceptional experience!

Pros: Comfortable relaxed environment, friendly caring staff, delicious food

This darling little cottage catches your eye as you drive along Imperial Highway and continues to please in every way when you go inside. The decor is comfortable and not pretentious. The servers are friendly and very knowledgeable in the overwhelming variety of delicious teas. They also give great advice on what to order. I ate the tastiest grilled sandwich I’ve ever had, which was paired with amazing soup, obviously made that day in Sweet Divas own kitchen! At the end of this great lunch, we were delighted with a plate full of a variety of heavenly just-slightly-larger than bite-sized desserts. I love Sweet Divas food and surroundings and would recommend that you go there and enjoy too!

Pros: Brunch, Lunch, Tea, Desserts, Pastry Case, Novelty Drinks, Espresso Drinks, Ambience

Would never go back to this place again! The service was horriable. BEWARE before you book a reservation at this place make sure to ask about their policies. Once you book -- you can NOT change your reservation. I had one friend who was unable to attend and I tried to call and change the reservation a couple days before and they refused!! So we were charged for her meal even though she wasnt present. The place is very shabby and it overlooks Imperial Highway which is loud and dirty. Parking is also a challenge. Also they lock the doors so you have to stand out side and listen to the traffic until your reservatation time. (I've never heard of a resturant doing this!!) The food was ok, but the service was incrediably slow, I felt like the servers were snobby and rude. There are soo many other lovely tea places in the area such as: Tea and Sympathy in Costa Mesa, Victorian Manor Tea Room in Orange, Tea and Teacups in Yorba Linda or my favorite Tea House on Los Rios in San Juan Capistrano.

Pros: NOTHING

Cons: EVERYTHING

the ONLY thing good about this place was the decor - cute cottage and cute idea. but EVERYTHING else was horrible! the service was TERRIBLE! the owner does not know how to run a restaurant and does not know anything about customer service! she really needs to take a class in etiquette. ive never been treated so disrespectfully. i know the place might look tempting (i was fooled by the name and pictures too), but it is not worth your time! trust me. the food was mediocre - it was all simple "dishes" you can make in your own kitchen. (however the scones were good.. but that was it). bottom line - this place is NOT worth your time! if you go, you're a fool - just like the owner. (i didnt even want to give 1 star - but citysearch doesnt let you give 0)

I recently had brunch here and all I can say is "Yummy!' Everything was so delish! The Carmel Roobis tea and vanilla sugar scones were amazing. I recomend only eating one so that you have room for the rest of your brunch. They give you so much food! I had the spinch salad & the french toast and my friend had the seasonal fruit & eggs benedict. Everything was wonderful & so pretty too. Of course we had to get the red velvet cake for dessert. It was so moist, and rich, good to the last bite. Be sure to make reservations for this great find.

Pros: great scones & good value

Cons: none

We went to sweet divas for my bridal shower. I was so excited to be going there - because I love tea, but the service was horrible!!!! There were 14 of us, but they did nothing to accomodate our seating, we were squeezed into a 10 person table. They only took drink orders for 3 of us. They tried to get us to leave by turning off the lights and putting the "closed" sign up. On top of that, my friends overheard them saying things like "are they still here?" and rolling their eyes. My cousin arrived late and they refused to let her order - saying the kitchen was closed. They were so rude!!! Never bothered to ask how we were doing. On top of that, we were forced to pay an 18% tip, which was $50!!! I am never going back. BEWARE! Sweet divas is not so sweet.

Pros: none

Cons: everything about their service!!!

I presumed it'd be a busy restaurant since we had to make reservations before hand and when trying to add one more person was told they were already making an exception with us and couldn't accomodate 7 people. I said never mind. When we did arrive we were asked to share a menu because they "might run out". The weird part is that we(6) and two other girls at another table were the only ones there! We didn't understand how they stayed in business until we received the bill. $27 per person for brunch! Their scones were good but not enough to have me come back. Service wasn't good and there food wasn't worth what I paid for. Wouldn't go back and wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

Pros: Very quite

Cons: Unfriendly atmosphere
