Triko Salon and stylist Laura are a winning pair!

I used Citysearch to find this salon so thought I owed my own review! After reading the salon and stylist reviews, I went to Triko and made an appointment with Laura. I was not disappointed! Laura has never given me a bad cut or color - she's sweet, fun with a great sense of humor and does a fantastic job on my hair ! The salon is clean and modern and the atmosphere is like a really fun family. From what I've seen in the couple years I've been going there, all the stylist do a great job but of course I think Laura is the best! She listens to your preferences, doesn't do something she knows won't look good on you, and takes her time but doesn't keep you waiting around. Love, LOVE Laura, love the salon and love the atmosphere. Citysearch didn't steer me wrong!

this salon is not overrated at all and rather lives up to its expectations

at first i was very hesitant to trust the reviews of this salon, thinking it MAY really be overrated but i am truly happy with the results. Vincent is an amazing stylist and is extremely helpful. He had good recommendations for my hair color and style. I finally found a good stylist! By the way, the number of the salon is wrong on this website for some reason, when i called it didn't work so i googled the number. it's (949) 752-0983. Go to Vincent! I guarantee you will be satisfied.

Good salon but way over rated

I was going here for a couple years and my last experience was exactly that, my last. Each time I went to this salon I was felt rushed because they book so many clients. All the sylist obviously have talent but they seem to be more focused on getting people in and out then on the client at hand.

My last time there I asked to go more blonde- not only did she not really give me enough blonde my hair was so brassy that it nearly orange in places and I had to throw it back until I was able to go in and get it fixed a month or so later. Basically, the stylist did what she wanted to do and never what I asked. After awhile, although it looked decent, I realized I was ready for someone to actually listen to me. Anyhow, all in all a decent salon but definitely not the best.

• Cons: Color not very good

Becky is fantastic

I was fortunate to be one of Becky's clients in the beginning of her career. She has never given me anything but wonderful hair cuts, weaves and customer service. I refer friends and co-workers to her as often as I can. I never hesitate to think that they will receive anything but a great hair cut, style and/or coloring if that's what their services include. Becky is also alot of fun to visit with when you're getting your hair done. She's also very honest and will tell you if that torn out picture of Jennifer Aniston's latest hairstyle is going to look as good on you as you hope that it will. I know that when I walk in with the expectation of receiving a great new look, I'll get it. Thank you Becky for the years of great hair cuts and weaves!!! You're the best!

Cheree has amazing skills

I would highly recommend Cheree and Triko Salon to anyone looking for high quality service and a comfortable (almost like home) type atmosphere... Her attention to detail and level of interest is second to none... On top of the great service it was also a very fun yet relaxing atmosphere...It was simply the best haircut I have ever had and I would recommend her to anyone...

Best hair in Orange County

Laura is so awesome. I just went to her for the first time last month. I just moved here from Chicago and I was so scared to find someone new. Thank goodness for City search...I am so happy I came on here to find Triko Salon. I had read all of Lauras reviews and decided to give her a try. I cant tell enough people howmuch I love my hair. I work at a clothing store and everyone that comes in comments on howmuch they like my hair. Youre the best Laura..see you next month.

I have been going to Laura for almost 5 years now. Shes one of those hair stylists that can always change it up. I never get bored. Recently she did hair for me at an event I had, the fashion show would not have been as good if it wasnt for her. Thanks Laura!

Amanda is the BEST!!!! GO TO HER!!

I've haven't had Amanda cut my hair at this salon, (YET) but when i heard she was moving down to Orange County from the L.A/Hollywood area I was thrilled! I've been having my hair cut by Amanda for the last 5 years. Originally i was referred to her through a close/mutual friend and Amanda ended up asking me to be one of her hair models when she graduated from Paul Mitchell in Costa Mesa. When she moved back to the Los Angeles area I religiously followed her to every salon she worked at and NEVER was i disappointed. Last year she made me very sad by moving to Las Vegas to pursue a career there, but call me crazy... I drove there twice to vacation last year and both times made and appointment to have her cut my hair while she was working in the Hard Rock Hotel Salon...

So you can see why I am so excited that she will now be so much closer to me in Orange County and not to mention at a totally awesome salon! On top of her being a great stylist she is the sweetest thing ever! She always is talkative and so friendly and will always work with me when i want to try something new or different. She always tell me straight up of she thinks it's a good or bad idea and works with me!

I'm super sensitive about things such as my hair and being that i wear my hair very short, I am very picky about it, BUT Amanda always managed to make me a happy client! I love her dearly! GO TO HER! she rocks!

Phenomenal Cuts by Jamie & Miko

I just moved to Newport Beach from Kentucky in January. My daughter came from Spring Break from college (she attends Marshall in Huntington, WV) We move around alot and finding a great stylist is the worst nightmare ever! I have been known to wait for months to get to the only stylist who has ever cut my hair right. And she was 5 hours away. Same as my daughter. We are both gun shy at this point because we have had so many bad cuts. We take pictures and describe our cuts exactly as we want. I even have back views of my cut and we still can't find anyone to cut our hair without butchering it. At this point, my daughter was here on Spring break from college and we both needed a cut and I certainly couldn't go 2,500 miles for a good cut. So we started looking at reviews of salons on citysearch. We had a couple salons in mind but they had terrible reviews. So we finally landed on TriKo Salon. They had great reviews. We went for it and made appointments. I described the two very different cuts we wanted to the receptionist over the phone and she put us with the two she thought did the cuts best respectively. We are so glad we came here. Jamie cut my hair and it is a version of Victoria Beckhams cut. I have had this cut for 6 years and thanks to Victoria Beckham making it popular, I finally found someone who is good at this cut. And my daughter went to Miko. He did an amazing job on her hair. Took the picture of what she wanted, listened to her and then made it something for her! Both of you did a phenomenal job. The cost for a great hair cut went up by $65.00 moving from the east coast to the west coast but it was worth every penny! We will be back and we are telling everyone we know. The entire staff was friendly and took interest in us. Thank you for making us feel welcome. By the way, for any who care, the salon was immaculate! Great place, great stylists, great cut!
