Flaunt your superior taste when you propose, sign a deal or celebrate a "Hallmark holiday" in signature Four Seasons style.. The Scene
Beneath lilting strains of soft music, sophisticated diners dressed in staid designer numbers dot the elegant, European-styled dining room. Pavilion is the epitome of class and dependability, just what you'd expect from a world-class hotel.

The Food
Fine-dining at its best. Start with the breadbasket overflowing with crusty butter rolls, chopstick-sized peppercorn bread sticks, flat Parmesan crisps and thick-sliced cinnamon-raisin bread. For an opulent appetizer, small mounds of sumptuous black caviar flatter triangles of delicately smoked salmon stacked with crisp wontons and a dollop of crème fraiche. Of the seafood entrees, shellfish connoisseurs must opt for succulent, steamed Maine lobster, served lazy-man style on a bed of rich saffron risotto. Free-range chicken breast is moist, hearty and rolled with roasted corn and prosciutto.

Completely Overrated. We spent a weekend in Newport Beach recently and were excited to go to this restaurant after seeing the Zagat rating as well as the City Search rating. It's Four Seasons right? After our visit, I have to wonder if the editor actually went there or simply printed a press release from the hotel. As for Zagat, I can only assume that after spending that much money, the diners had to gush or else feel ripped off. Service was poor. Very slow. In fact, we literally timed it at 11+ minutes before a waiter came by to take our drink order. Menu selections were very promising. Poorly executed. My steak was overdone. My wife's fish was very dry. No attempt from waiter to rectify the situation. I could go on, but don't want to seem bitter. My advice is to choose another restaurant.
