Watch Out for Stores with Inappropriate Music

I like the easy-going atmosphere of the Laguna Hills Mall. It's not as chaotic as S. Coast Plaza, but you can still get a lot of shopping done and enjoy a movie. I have a concern about visiting a store called Beach Bum Skateboards. I entered the shop and in less than five minutes I had to leave. On Sunday March 15 I had my 9 year old son, 3 year old daughter, and my neighbor's kid with me in the store. The store was blaring rap music, which I am not at all opposed to, but it created a very unprofessional atmosphere for a Sunday family day at the mall with "F---" and "Ni---" words clearly uttered throughout the song. I had to explain to my son's friend that we donot listen to that type of music and that it would not be repeated in our presence. We left and went to the Vans store where we received a very professional courteous service and a skateboard for my son.

• Pros: Peaceful, Relaxed atmosphere; Not overcrowded
• Cons: Can sometimes look like a ghost town

Convenience for me!

I like the Laguna Hills Mall because of the variety of stores. The quanity of stores is small but shopping goes quickly...not a lot of useless walking.

Now that its comparable sister mall in Mission Viejo has been upgraded, I really see no reason to go here. It's old and for the most part super lame.
