Used to be great! Rustic, large number of menu choices, especially the shakes and 'extras'!

Unfortunately, this delightful landmark with a dizzying array of flavor choices has been diminished to a boring corporate offshoot of Ruby's. They have raised the prices nearly double, and the choices have been cut to approximately 5 or so flavors of shakes. It still is a great place for the view, but their menu is sadly limited. Additionally, they changed the dutch door on the north side of the building where you would pick up your order to a solid door, for reasons that escape me. The staff has to yell your order number out the front of the building, (no P.A. system) and if you have managed to find seating on the patio, it's nearly impossible to hear them. They did paint it,and tidied up a bit, (it needed that) but the whole experience has been diminished.
- Pros: Location, Location, Location
- Cons: limited menu

ever since i watched rachel ray's $40/day and on her outing to laguna, she stopped by this tiny little shake shack, i've been meaning to go here. it really is a tiny little shack, with some limited outdoor patio sitting over the cliff. the sandwiches and shakes are very yum and well-priced.
- Pros: great shakes, good price

Visit a Newport Beach Landmark and enjoy a fantastic shake. The view from the Shake Shack is incredible. Its located on a cliff overlooking the Crystal Cove in Newport. This place has been there for years and brings back a sixties surfer vibe. A must when driving along PCH.
- Pros: Awesome View, Inexpensive
- Cons: Not much parking
