i dine out on a regular basis, but it's not every day one encounters a restaurant as unique as this place. from the moment you walk in, La Fondue takes it's grip on the senses. It's almost like you find yourself lost in some forgotten dimension. The decor is not easily put into words, but I can promise you'll have a hard time not looking around to explore. Besides it's initial appeal to the eyes I was warmly greeted by their exceptionally knowlegeble staff and brought to what is known as the "hollywood" room. My date and I sat in cosy little table in the corner and was no sooner greeted by our server. Since I have never been formally introduced to fondue (and I wanted to have the best experience possible with my date), I found it a breath of fresh air to have such a skillful and friendly host to help us walk through they're elaborate menu. After we ordered I did nothing but indulge in one of the best meals I've had in some time. The food was nothing short of amazing and I'd go into detail, but I would end up writing an essay (plus I don't want to spoil it for your visit!!) Anyhow, I am extremely pleased with my time at La Fondue and will continue to rant and rave until my next visit! So go!!!!!

my husband and i recently visited la fondue in san juan capistrano. i must say, i have never expeienced anything like it. from the moment we entered, we were blown away by the smiles and sincere welcoming attitude of everyone.from he smiling face of natalie at the hostess stand to our server emerlito (all one word,he said!), the service was no doubt, the best we have ever enjoyed. the food we ordered was an array of exotic meats and delectable cheeses, followed by a tempting and irrisistable chocolate mixed with a delightful liquor. all in all, our anniversary was a date to remember, a memory we will cherish forever.

An evening at La Fondue can be compared to no other. Boasting awards for "Sexiest restaurant in the O.C." and known for it's "shabby/chic" and "calm glamour", one is overwhelmed and delighted with the over-the-top cuisine and atmosphere. Start off with a lovely spinach salad garnished with feta, cucumber, cherry tomato,mushroom and carrot drizzled with a lemon tarragon glaze. Next,a cheese fondue made right in front of you. Tonight we chose the BLEU TOMATO, and as our server(Charity)whips the dairy goodness,it resembles the fun of a childhood taffy pull! On to an array of exotic meats from the WILD THING entree... Alligator, buffulo,ostrich,savage wild duck,venison and wild boar were tenderly cooked in a boiling concoction of japanese sake and teriyaki then dipped in a variety of accompaning sauces. Save the best for last!!!! One of four chocolate choices, our personal favorite was the milk chocolate combined with Frangelico liquor.DIVINE!!!Our "dippers" were fruits of every kind along with Snicker bars, peanut butter , Rice Krispie , cream cheese bits coated in brown sugar and cinnamon,pound cake,etc... Ending the evening with a glass of La Fondue's 20 yr. port, we left happy, satisfied and blown away by the efficient service,one-of-a-kind ambiance and overall accomplishment of a job well done by owners Michael and Georgia Soares.

I went to La Fondue with my boyfriend and we had such a great time. Everything was just wonderful. The food was delicious, the ambience and décor of the restaurant was chic and eclectic, and the service was great. Our server was so nice and was there to help anytime we needed something. I would recommend this restaurant in a heartbeat. We ordered a nice bottle of wine and one of their combination dinners (a 4 course meal!) that came with salads, a cheese fondue, a dinner platter with all types of different meats and finally a chocolate fondue (my absolute favorite) for dessert. Perfect restaurant for any occasion: to go on a date, with friends or family. My birthday is coming up and I’m definitely going there for dinner to celebrate with friends.

La fondue has quickly become one of my favorite places to dine. The whole experience is so much fun, not to mention delicious! Its unique decor gives the place a very funky yet elegant. This restaurant is a great date place, it definitely sets the mood. The food is amazing! If you're feeling adventurous, you could try some ostrich or some alligator, personally I'm all about lobster and fillet mignon. Not only is the food great and the decor beautiful, but the staff is extremely accommodating and super friendly. I definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone! Oh, and make sure you save room for chocolate, it's the best part!

When I went to La Fondue I had a fabulous experience! The service was great & the food was amazing! They really do have everything on their menu from Chicken to Alligator... I was told the alligator tastes like chicken, however I'm too scared to try it! It is such a fun experience because you actually get to cook all your own food! My family and I at a wonderful time there and I would recommend it to anyone!

Pros: Service and it is easy to find right off the freeway.

Cons: Parking isn't so great, however there is additional parking in the back parking structure.

Sexiest restaurant ever!!!! La Fondue has now become one of my most favorite spots to dine. When I first walked in I felt as if I was in some kind of enchanted castle. The romantic abience was created by the super dim lighting offset with glowing candles scattering the scene. The decor was freshly funktafied and sheek at the same time . The zebra fur covered walls caught my eye right from the start. I was greeted with a very friendly host and was then escorted to my booth after traveling through what seemed to be a maze of antiques. The dinner was apsolutely amazing four courses of bliss. I fell into a complete state of ecstasy while finishing with the chocalate fondue. Highly recommended to all!!

When I first walked into this place I didnt know what fondue was, but when I left, I was ecstatic and maybe a little bit in love. La Fondue has in intriguing style that shocks and awes as you walk in the door. We got to our table and the service was great! Our server was friendly and helpful in walking me through their deliciously complex menu. we got a generously portioned 4 course meal. Started off with salad, moved onto cheese fondue, chose and cooked our own meats! Simply delicious! The night had a seductively chocolately ending. I recommend this resaurant to anyone...thats right, anyone.

Member since October 2007, Total Reviews: 1 (Female, Trabuco Canyon, CA) La Fondue is not only a romantic place to go on a date, it is also a great place to go with a group of friends and family. We were celebrating a birthday in the group with 10 of us. When I made the reservation the lady had me order everything before, which turned out to work for the better, otherwise it would have taken a very long time for everyone to decide together. The service was great and really made our experience there even more exciting. Our cheese fondue was prepared for us at our table, and then we get the opportunity to be our own personal chefs for the night and cook our own food at the table. It was great interactive fondue experience. I highly encourage everyone to go try it if you already haven’t been there and I’m sure you will love it!

Pros: each course of our meal tasted better then the last course. Never lets you down.

"La Fondue is San Juan Capistrano gave my fiance and I the best anniversary dinner we have had yet. The decor, the food, and the service was all together absolutely breath-taking. This elegant restaurant combines style and class with elegance no matter what day of the week or what time of year you visit. It is a wonderful date restaurant. The meals are for the most part priced and proportioned for two, and considering how much food you receive the pricing is adequate. You receive a full four course meal when you order a combination dinner. You begin with a generous salad that is so fresh you feel as though you are eating strait out of a garden. Then you move onto the wonderful cheese fondue. We experienced the traditional swiss which was spiced with nutmeg and black pepper. THe server makes the cheese for you at your table! Talk about dinner AND entertainment! We then preceeded to our meets, where we experienced wild boar, alligator, private reserve filet mignon, shrimp, honey-mustard marinated chicken and teriyaki sirloin. MMM MMM GOOD! We finished off with the chocolate fondue which was absolutely amazing. There are variations of every course that you can choose from, all of which i'm sure are as good as the next. Yes, we cooked our own meets at the table, but let me say this: it was an awesome experience that you do not get at any old place just anywhere. The time spent at the restaurant and the adventure of cooking our meats and dipping our strawberries, marshmellows, and so much more into chocolate was a bonding experience that will forever be remebered and re-visited often. You will find nothing but the best of service and the nicest of staff at La fondue, and with the better portion of the restaurants decor being important from various contries in Europe you will find no other that even comes CLOSE to this elegant, time-less, completely chic decor. La fondue is a winner and a must try! Experience it for yourself!!!!"
