Bad customer service!

Management needs to take a course in how to run a salon. I waited for ever, the stylist gave me attitude and the manager was a pain! Shame on you Salon Hue. I will never go back again! Not cool. I will make sure to tell all my friends.

• Pros: Non to speak of.
• Cons: Too expensive and too much attitude.

I'm Picky, It Was Great!

I'm new to Orange County and my coworker gave me the name or her hair dresser. I'm very picky, sometimes too picky, so of course I was nervous. I looked their pricing up online, yes there are different pricing levels so I made sure to mention to the desk when I made the appointment which level I was most comfortable with. Their menu is very clear on pricing so people who are surprised by pricing must not look at the menu closely enough or don't ask about pricing prior to their service. The front desk staff was very welcoming without overdoing it, I hate when you can tell people are "faking" being nice. They were very warm and friendly, my kind of place. My stylist greeted me and gave me a very thourough consultation. Then one of their assistants gave me a GREAT scalp and shoulder massage and shampoo. I don't get why people on here are bothered by assistants doing things like shampooing and the massages. They are wonderful gals (not sure if there are guys there) who are there to learn help. When you go to a nicer salon, they have assistants and assistants do exactly that, assist. Anyhoo, got a great haircut in a nice amount of time ( I don't have all day to sit around). My stylist infomed me that Hue also had a spa and asked about my spa habits. I don't really have any, but I'd like to. She introduced me to Linda who invited me into the spa for a skin care consulatation for free. She talked to me in terms I understood and helped me understand my skin and it's needs better, and no, it wasn't to talk me into some foo foo product I don't need. I was so comfortable with her I decided to try a 30min facial and a brow wax. Both were great. My brows are amazing, that's a huge thing b/c believe me, my brows are usually a hot mess. I felt like $1,000, 000 leaving. When I checked out there was another gal up there who helped explain the charges for the day, the products that were used on me (not just your typical ok time to pay up conversation) and informed me of the client points system. Free points for pre-booking COOL! I had a nice time there and I WILL be back. Everyone there was welcoming and polite. I loved my stylist but I think I would be comfortable trying out different people. If you haven't gone to Hue, GO. Make your mind up for yourself.

HORRIBLE! Left with burns on my face from waxing!

Horrible service first of all. Waaaaaaaay over priced. Secondly, do not go here to get waxed. Im afraid they do not know what they are doing (i believe her name was Linda). I went here to get waxed and left with only half of my skin. Needless to say I will never go back. I also have a 10 dollar off coupon and instead of giving me 10 dollars of the less than intelligent front desk girl charged me 10 dollars more.

Excellent Service !!

I am not the "hair done every week " woman. I work outside and my hair shows it. In fact, before my first visit with this salon I had not had a haircut or color for over 2 years. So the prices set me back on my heels, but they range with how experience your stylist. I chose what I felt was the middle range and I chose extremely well.

I was given an appt with Emily Mott. I told her I was looking for a wash and wear cut for my natural curly hair and a color that I could blend the gray through as it grew out because I would not be in every 6 weeks. I am not hard to please but I don't help my stylist with any suggestions. Emily was great she gave me everything I did not know I wanted until she was done. Then you have such personal service. Hand massages, head massages, I could have set in the chair forever.

I left the salon feeling 10 years younger and I think I looked that way also. You may say the salon is high-end but the service is excellent and with the "no tipping" policy I don't know that you are really spending any more that you would anywhere else.

• Cons: I live about 1 hr from salon - but I make the drive anyway

The service you get is not the same as what the website states.

I think the quality of service that one gets from this salon is dependent on who you are. My impression is that "if you look like you have money, you will be treated much better". I didn't get all the services they claimed all customers will get as part of their visit in their website. I tried to make another appointment after my first visit to give this place another chance, and a person named Nicole told me the hairstylist will get back to me for an available appointment and I never heard from them again. Nevertheless, I am now going to another Spa Salon who treats me a lot better than this place.

BEST SALON IN ORANGE COUNTY!

I heard of this place from a few girlfriends who have had spa treatments there. I think its amazing how nice the staff is! I made my appointment with a pamper me day in mind. The girl at the front was super sweet and so was their manager who I found out later that day that she was an esthetician & was going to do my facial too! Her name is Linda and she made my troubles just go away the minute she had the bowl of warm water to soak my feet in. The music was so relaxing and my facial was amazing! I went on to see Jennifer H. she was very helpful in finding what would work best with me! All the hand massages at the shampoo bowls and the neck and head massage was just a very special treat! I made my next appointment and I am sure to be back as long as they are around! I highly recommend going! Its a wonderful place to visit! Even if it is to just shop in their store. After my very relaxing day, i went shopping around the Bella Terra and had a nice time. This has to be the best salon & spa I have ever been to! Not to mention I love Aveda products, too! Leave your house early! Parking can be a pain.

Love love love Jennifer H! She has been doing my hair for a year and half and I always walk into the salon with confidence I will leave with great color. Highly recommend her to all the blondes out there, she knows exactly how to get the color right

From Brazilian Waxes to hair cuts, this place Rocks!

I've been going to Hue for about 1 1/2 years now and I absolutely love it. I'm rather shocked at some of the negative comments because for the most part, I only have great things to say. I started coming here for Brazilian waxes and Shenelle is wonderful! A Brazilian wax isn't the greatest experience but she's super friendly and very professional. I was interested in getting a new hairstyle and she recommended Jen L. Jen L. is yet another reason why I love this place. She listened to everything I said and helped me make the right decision in regards to a hairstyle that would fit me. The no tipping policy pretty much balances out the "high price" that you pay. From the foot soaks to head/neck/shoulder massages, you honestly get your moneys worth. I do remember when I first started going they were a bit unorganized, then again, this salon is only 2 years young. Now more experienced and fully staffed, I can almost guarantee you'll be just as satisfied as I am.

• Cons: Parking can be hard to come across

Outstanding Service!

What an amazing 2nd time salon experience! The store definitely had a great ambience. Not only I received a haircut from a stylist that greeted me with a big smile, but I also received a head massage, shoulder & neck massage, arm massage, and facial treatment for the same price I paid for my 1st salon experience. If you are looking for a deal and a great customer service, this is a must check out. The store was conveniently located from 405fwy and many different stores where friends and family can hang out while you are getting your hair done. I had a short hair and told my hair stylist that I wish to grow it out; however, I wanted to maintain a certain look while growing my hair out. My hair stylist did just that! I've been to many different places where you ask for one style and the result is far from what you expect to see. I usually have a negative comment about the places I visit but I truly enjoyed my experience.

Overpriced! Would not go back!!

DO NOT GO!! I walked in and the two girls at the counter were busy talking, after about a minute a very nice boy greeted me but told me they were going to be with me in just a few minutes. I then waited over 20 minutes past my appointment time until an assistant came and told me they were ready for me, which in my opinion just seemed like they were stalling me even more by taking another 15-20 minutes of massaging my shoulders (granted it was nice but i was there for a color & cut)! Finally a stylist came over and did my color in probably 15 minutes and put me in a lounge area, which was nice. When the color was done processing another assistant came and rinsed me and had me wait in a chair for another 10 minutes for my cut and then the assistant styled me!!! I paid an OUTRAGEOUS amount of money for a color and a cut and the majority of it was done by an assistant!! I don't know who's getting the shaft here, me or the assistant! The salon is a non-tipping salon but i tell you, if i could have tipped it would have all gone to those assistants, not the stylists!! I was never asked if i was satisfied with my hair or anything. I felt very rushed and unwelcome. I would not go back again!

• Pros: The waiting lounge was nice and the tea was good.
• Cons: Overpriced. Assistants, which i think are students do most of the work!!!!
