I have seen many arrangements come out of Blume's and every single one of them was stunning. Each flower was artfully placed and extremely fresh. I appreciate the attention to detail and quality of flowers used. I highly recommend them.

It is best to call ahead of time with an idea of what you want. I walked in and asked for an arrangement for same day pickup. I ended up with an incredible arrangement of exotic flowers such as French Tulips and White Orchids. The final product was a pleasant surprise after thinking I might just jaunt down to a Conrads or FTD. I will definitely be going back to Blumes and Highly Recommend it. The storefront is not much to look at, but you will not be disappointed.
Pros: Service, High Quality Flowers, Final Product
Cons: Best Selection Requires an Advance Call

I would highly recommend Blumes Fine Florist. Their arrangments are original and the designs are so beautiful. The customer service I received was first rate. When the flowers arrived, the receipent was so impressed with the flower arrangment. It was a feather in my cap.
Pros: Great customer service

Susan will make your life incredibly easy and the recipient of your flowers very happy. I wanted a trustworthy, creative florist to deliver a really good arrangement at a specific time for a special occasion at UCLA. Based on the East Coast, without a clue where to start, I scouted out Blumes here on Citysearch and reviewed their website. Then I faxed a request for an arrangement similar (but not identical) to one of the online photos--made a couple of specific requests, but left a lot to the imagination. Susan called me within the hour. Cordial and very easy to work with by phone, she asked a few questions about style and color, offered some suggestions about unusual flowers, said she'd pick up something special on her next run downtown, and took care of the rest. The result: Prompt delivery, timed just as requested, of what I'm told was just the gorgeous arrangement I hoped for. Bottom line: Even for long-distance orders, you can absolutely trust Blumes, sight unseen, to do a beautiful job.
Pros: creative touch, friendly service, prompt response, attention to detail

After meticulously searching through magazines and online for a floral designer for my recent wedding, I narrowed the hundreds of possibilities in Los Angeles and Orange County to just a handful. I visited each one, and Blumes flowers was by far the most creative and tasteful of them all. Susan Blume is full of energy, ideas, and talent. On my first visit, I described to her a general idea of what I wanted. She pulled a few flowers out of the refrigerator and made an absolutely stunning small arrangement in just a few seconds. From that second, I knew that I could trust her taste and expertise. You never have to worry about fern and baby's breath here, they only have the finest quality flowers and will never stick in the cheesy filler. The shop is filled with high end flowers: orchids, peonies, hydrangeas, exotic roses, exotic leaves and branches, and lots more that I had never seen before (and don't remember the names of). As far as cost, I was a bride that wanted my wedding flowers to look like $20,000 but only budgeted $3,000. (Okay, a little exaggeration... but not much.) Susan gave me what looked like $20,000 in flowers. The entire event was absolutely gorgeous. Everything from the bouquets, ceremony, cocktail tables, centerpieces was more than I could have imagined, and I consider myself to have very expensive taste. Any and all brides in the Los Angeles are, you must must MUST visit Blumes fine flowers and meet with Susan!! The best quality and design for your money!! (Trust me, I had consultations with a lot of the high end florists that advertise in the premier bridal magazines: they were so overpriced, and re-used their creative ideas in almost all of their weddings.) On top of all of this, Susan and all of the assistant designers and even delivery people are so nice and fun to be around. I would literally stop by the shop whenever I'd pass by and spend hours inside. Such a fun place to be, and great people to be around!!
Pros: creativity, great quality and selection of flowers
Cons: NONE

B L U M E S! I recently had a party for my 50th birthday and Blumes did the flowers. Creating and designing with Susan, we came up with a beautiful idea that was executed beyond my expectations. Stunning, elegant, individual arrangements adorned each place setting. Thirty of them artfully designed in slightly different vases filled the room with color, cheer, texture -- a delicate blanket of roses. My guests were instructed to take them home and the comments about their beauty and the roses lasted for a week! Focal points in the room were created with two other arrangements. Bold, textured, and fragrant they coordinated and complimented the flowers on the tables. THANK YOU Blumes, It was a pleasure to work with you. I hope to do this again, soon.

I just read the review left by a former disgruntled employee and have to take the defense of the owner of this unbelievable floral studio. Those were nasty, horrible accusations left about the owner, and as a former employee myself, I just wanted to state how untrue these claims are. She is a wonderful person, friend, artist, and worker, and taught me so much about floral design and absolutely paid me on time on a weekly basis. She is the best, and once you meet her you will know this as well. Please ignore any of those aforementioned claims from an employee who fled on her own.

This is probably one of the best florists I have ever dealt with. I highly recommend this place for any occasion. Good or Bad.

Blumes Fine Florist did the flowers for our wedding a month ago and our guests are still talking about them. They were gorgeous! Truly beyond anything we had hoped for. We had a couple of consultations with Susan Blume and we told her the feel of the wedding and the colors we wanted for the event. We also discussed some flowers that we loved, but we were more particular about the colors than the specific flowers. She came back to us with an amazing design that we loved, and then upped the ante and created an even more fabulous design. We were married in a beautiful outdoor setting in the mountains, made even more stunning by Susan's flowers. She worked with the natural backdrop to create a floral design that was organic, warm and elegant. We couldn't be happier with the outcome.

I send a fair amount of flowers every week to clients in and out of the area. The service, flowers and creativity is better than anyone that I have used in LA. I am most concerend with on time delivery and uniqueness since I send arrangements so often. Blumes never has a problem coming up with new ideas and designs. I highly recommend.
Pros: understanding of customer needs and timing
Cons: none
