Went there for the $20 all you can eat sushi and thought it was a deal in the too expensive restaurant. Since they have many "rules" on how to get to your next plate I couldn't get passed the first. I could of paid $10 for those rolls at a small mom&pops sushi place. Our server was nice, only good thing I have to say.

Pros: The serivce from the server Katty

Cons: food $$$$$

OKAY, the parking sucked, we had to wait a bit for our reservation and the music was a bit loud, but once we got down we had the time of our lives! We had sushi first and later the teppen chef came out and threw rice everywhere and made me laugh so hard my beer came out of my nose! The scallops and filet mignon were perfectly done, and my friend's pomegranate martini was the best I'd ever tasted. KUDOS.

Pros: FOOD

Cons: Wait

As soon as you walk in , your shoe's stick to the floor like some kind of glue. Probably to keep the customers from running away. Two Manager's are eating at the bar talking to a third about how it use to be at Rockin Taco, while customer's are waiting for a take out ,for 30 minutes. The receptionist had to appoligize for the wait 4 times during the wait and the dish called ceviche leaves much to be desired. Four thin pieces of toast that look as thin as potatoe chips and a mixture of fish that is mostly scallops in a sauce of Pace Picante Sauce with dried crab meat on top. Most strongly a candidate for Hell's Kitchen. The owner's would be served best by leveling the place and starting from the ground up. In this time of a poor economy and huge unemployment, you would think the owner's could do better, but I guess, one must employ family. Not to be tried again until you see a large sign that says " Under new Management". By the way, don't expect change back unless you ask for it and when you do, you are left with the feeling that they think they deserve it. Not exactly my worst experience, but I haven't waited 24 hours to see how it comes out.

Pros: They had air conditioning

Cons: everything

The service at Chomps was horrible. The waiters are rude, and the management does nothing to try and help the situation. They also harass their customers and I got sick from their expensive food. Their customer service alone makes me not want to go back.

Come here for the $25 Sunday brunch, for good selections of sushi rolls!!! Ask the sushi chief for sashimi and they will give you!! This is for seafood and raw sushi lover, if you don't enjoy sushi, don't bother to be here!!! The only thing bad are the decoration, it seem old and need a real cleaning job!!!

Pros: $25 for sushi sunday brunch

Cons: Restaurant needs to clean up!!! The seating area smell bad!!

I've been to Chomps on numerous occasions and the rolls are the best items on the menu. The tornado, screamin' O, baked scallop, and explosion rolls are my favorites. Go during lunchtime since it will be way less crowded. If you must go at night then do get reservations since the atmosphere is better at night. Reservations are not available on Thursday nights because of the all-you-can-eat-sushi night <-- Crowded, not worth it for $20 to wait for 2-3 hours. The Sunday brunch is $25 and you get way more for your money and some of the specialty rolls are on the buffet line. Service is good during lunch but horrible when busy. Overall, I still go there because of the food but avoid the 3 hour wait.

Pros: Sunday Buffet, Yummy Rolls, Best Time to visit is lunchtime

Cons: Service, waiting for table

This was the WORST dining experience EVER! They kept our party of 4 waiting over 2 hours for a table and then forgot half of my order! By the time we made the waiter aware of this, it was almost 11 pm and I was so tired and angry, that I just wanted to get the heck out of there. NOT the place for kids...total club scene with a bunch of annoying people yelling and bumping into you. And I've had much better sushi at local, small restaurants with much better atmosphere. Don't waste your time or money here..we went on their all-you-can-eat night, which is $20 per person and there's no way we got our $20-worth of sushi, both in quantity and quality.

Pros: NONE!

Cons: LOUD, CROWDED, LONG WAITS, OVERRATED

19.sep.06 OC Register (California) Frank Mickadeit "Lauriano is now living every restaurateur's nightmare. It can't get much worse than having your place linked to DISEASE-CARRYING crustaceans. The county He@lth Department yesterday confirmed three more cases of LUNG INFECTION linked to eating live crabs, bringing the total to 11. All who have come down with paragonimus ate the live freshwater Sawagani or regal crabs at Riptide Rockin' Sushi in Mission Viejo or Chomp Rockin' Sushi in Fullerton. The parasite can cause a cough, chest and stomach pain, difficulty breathing, di@rrhe@, fever and hives. Lauriano opened Chomp in 2002. His supplier told him about these quarter-size Japanese crabs that were a "must-have product" for any sushi place wanting to be hip. You'd get the younger, Sapporo-swigging crowd daring each other to eat 'em live right out of the jar at three bucks a pop. Those squirming legs tickling your esophagus on their way down to crab hell. Although some people ordered them fried - or to take home as pets - it was the consumption live that made them novel. Lauriano would sell about 25 a week, which didn't make him rich, but certainly made him different. When he opened Riptide last December, the live crabs were offered at the sushi bar there as well. Riptide was a smash, Lauriano says. By July, it was doing 800 dinners on a Saturday. All that changed Aug. 12, when the Register ran a story saying two people had BECOME ILL after eating the tiny crabs. The eighth graph identified Riptide, and we followed with Lauriano stating his deep regrets and that he would no longer serve the crab."

Cons: Parasite, LUNG DISEASE, chest & stomach pain, difficulty breathing, di@rrhe@, fever & hives

PLEASE DO NOT EAT HERE! My friend along with 5 other people got food p0is0ning last month from the sushi because there's FECAL MATTER IN THE SUSHI. My friend was rushed to the hospital and lost 16 pounds from dehydration. He got Hepatitis A from eating there. This restaurant has closed down at least 2 times. This is NOT a joke and I just wanted to warn people so that they won't get sick too. his hospital bill for 3 days was $15,000. SUSHI LOVERS BEWARE! Feel free to e-mail me if you need proof.

Cons: FECAL MATTER in the sushi, HEPATITUS A, HUGE hospital bills

I've been eating sushi for over 25yrs and have had some of the best to the worst. This is just average. The selection of nigiri sushi is passable (the basics) but not well prepared. I'm guessing that their rolls are better than their sushi, as most people seem to be commenting on them. The sushi hasn't been completely spoiled but it doesn't seem to have the freshness that's present in truly good sushi. The teppan is decent but not exceptional. The only real reason to come here is for the atmosphere. This is where you come to hang out and drink or maybe bring a larger party for the teppan "entertainment". The food is passable to eat with your drinks. I guess I have a much higher standard for sushi.

Pros: Atmosphere! Have a rowdy large dinner party? Come here.

Cons: Food isn't actually very good, the sushi especially.
