What a Menu! Absolutely the Best as well as the staff!!!

by MariaCox

I couldn't believe how nice everyone is. I would definitely go back at a blink of an eye without a hesitation. Let me tell you I met a bunch friends, well people who became friends. I met them there for the first time since the club set everything up there. When I first saw the menu, I couldn't believe it. It had everything under the stars and more. I definitely didn't expect anything like this at all as well as the atmosphere, which was out of this world. Since I am really not much of a meat eater, I ordered the "French Onion Salmon needless to say it was delicious, not too over powering and not dry at all. The chefs had to have gone to one of the best Chef's Schools to get the salmon like this because I use to date a chef and he had the best way of preparing salmon but the worst part of it ,he would not teach me his trade secret since he paid big bucks for his school. Darn him. I wonder if it is him in the kitchen. I can't look. I'll enjoy what I have now and embrase everthing here. It is so lovely here I don't want to go when it is over. I will return many times.

Best Cocktails Ever!!!

by thesmith

My friends and I have been going to Chatty Chat Noir (now Savannah, I know) for over a year now. The service is really what makes it stand out--the bartenders are the best in the county. The food is always delicious and the drinks are FAB-ulous. Sure, you spend some bucks, but you get so much in return. They even created a drink for me-a champagne cosmo that is to DIE for. Go ask for one. Your tummy will be so bubbly and happy and your taste buds will be tingly and all dance-y.

  • Pros: Champagne cosmos, best bartenders ever, great live jazz

So romantic!

by crimsonmei

One of my favorite restaurant in Orange county. Its very romantic. The service is very good and also the food is amazing. My favorite thing to have is the 3 way duck. They also have a live music some nights. It has a nice bar/lounge to talk to friend and grab a little snacks at.

Great Reward after a long day

by wwalsh

I am a member of The Spa, and Chat is around the corner...The service is consistent, the Champagne Happy Hour is the best! A little pricey if not happy hour, but the champagne cocktails are delicious and worth it everytime...Makes me look forward to treating myself after I work out :)

Great french food

by kgranich

It is a great spot for certain events. I went in on a normal occasion and it felt stuffy. The bar looked lively and more hip.

The food was amazing, but pricey.

  • Pros: Great Food
  • Cons: Price

Sink into the luxurious Moulin Rouge atmosphere and travel from South Coast Metro to Paris' Montmartre district.

The Scene
The owner of Laguna's French 75 excels with another sophisticated scene. More glamour-themed restaurant than bistro, Chat Noir re-creates swank Parisian nightlife. The sexy art-nouveau lounge bustles with upscale hipsters, with live jazz filtering through. The huge space retains intimacy with red velvet-draped alcoves and private-curtained booths. The covered patio offers lounge-style seating, and the formal dining room is richly appointed with leather banquettes and vintage French posters.

The Food
Standouts include grilled salad, surprisingly warm and cold, with flash-grilled romaine. PB&J foie gras is a terrine served either warm or chilled, accompanied by berry preserve and a corn-based syrup that tastes remarkably like peanut butter. Three-way duck (leg confit, grilled breast and foie gras) with raspberries is zesty and sweet. The $110 grand plateau de fruits de mer of oysters, shrimp, crab, shrimp and lobster is a special-occasion delight. Masterful desserts include Tahitian vanilla-bean creme brulee with lavender shortbread.

REally Good Food and Ambience

by linkin

The food is really good~!!! Aside from the fact that this place is pricey, everything is great. I would say that the experience you get is worth the $70/person budget you should expect to pay. The martinis are good, the garlice appetitzer was great... It's really a good place for celebrations.

Great dinner, nice bar, romantic place!

by djr0495

Have visited twice. The first time for drinks at the bar before an event and the bartenders are very friendly and great drinks. Dinner in the dining room was very special. Very reasonable corkage fee for a nice bottle we brought with us. The meals were terrific! Highly recommended!

very expensive!!!

by tofutratra

i went to Chat Noir to celebrate 2 bdays a couple of weeks ago, and i haven't spent as much money on a dinner as i did here, although i have to admit that we had quite a big party. still... it came out to be over $70 a person. don't get me wrong, the food was good, but not amazingly great, and i just can't quite justify the expensive price i paid for the food just yet.

  • Pros: interior design
  • Cons: avg food, $5 parking, pricey
