Heaven, fabulous food and gorgeous sunsets not to mention beautiful spa

Most beautiful CA resort. The service is outstanding , the views are amazing , the food is excellent with an extensive wine list, the spa is gorgeous and the bar serves the best fish and chips around. The resort is quite expensive but well worth it. Makes a very romantic getaway!

Best place to stay in Orange County

Beautiful grounds. Great piano bar, pool, rooms. I highly recommend it. The resturaunts are amazing. Also great location

This five-story shingle-and-stone enclave plays host to well-heeled out-of-towners and wealthy locals seeking oceanfront bliss. Each turn-of-the-century-style room has an ocean view, flat screen TV, oversized marble bathtub, 400-thread-count sheets and goose down pillows. Hanging throughout the property are works by some of California's most well-known 20th-century artists. Among the four restaurants is Studio, which serves four-star fare with 280-degree Pacific views. Guests can also enjoy the 20,000-square foot Spa Montage, which focuses on a holistic approach to health and fitness.

Hits: Location, location, location. Whether walking through the grassy bluff or standing atop the main room's balcony, the views are stunning and the ocean breeze soothing.

Misses: It's hard to find fault here, so let's just say perfection is not without its (very high) price.

AMAZING!!

Where do I start?!?!? Everything about the Montage is amazing...the staff is superb, the food is great and the cocktails are some of the best around. Very accommodating and the children's area is affordable with a caring staff. Stacy is great and loves what she does.

Try to strawberry collins or laguna lychee...both amazing drinks! The mosiac pool is beautiful and the view is pricelss.

• Cons: book early if they fill up quick at peak times

My Favorite Hotel EVER!

I cannot say enough nice things about this hotel! Right when you walk in their staff treats you like royalty, the location is unparalleled, and the resort in a whole is great! From the bottle of champagne at check in to the fruits, nuts, and water brought to you at the pool- everything is top notch. If you have never been here, you need to try it at least once and then you will always want to come back. The spa is great as well and the food is excellent. I love it!
