Good price. ok service but great time

First of all.....I think most people write reviews when they have a bad time so you have to keep that in mind. I have been to kojis at the block about 20 times, usually during the lunch hour. I have to admit that under a former manager (about 9 months ago or so), the staff was less than professional and it almost seemed as if I was in an 18 and under club or something. I know the servers are not the best but I think the food is yummy and cheap. Where can you get a full serving of chicken and all your vegi's for 8 bucks these days. I also really like that you can taylor your order. Overall....hey....you get what you pay for and it's a great date place.

• Pros: Good food and lots of vegi selections
• Cons: Young servers

THIS RESTAURANT SHOULD BE CALLED HELLS KITCHEN!!!!!!!!!

I wish I read the other reviews before going to this disgusting restaurant. The food was gross and the we were served by a waitor with the demeanor of a boy from the hood. I left a zero tip and stormed out. I was very upset and disappointed about my experience KOJI'S restaurant. THEY SHOULD CALL IT HELLS KITCHEN RATHER THAN KOJI'S!

I HATE THIS RESTAURANT & THE UGLY MIDDLE-AGED FEMALE MANAGER

I made the the mistake of accidently stumbling into KOJI'S Restaurant and had the worst service possible. The waiters were composed of incompentent rejects with the mannerisms of someone who worked at a fast food restaurant. I waited 1 hour to be seated and when I was finally served the food was awful. I complained to the manager who was a blond head middle aged female named Michelle who looked like she use to work at a strip club but got kicked out due to old age. Okay whatever! The bottom line is that this restaurant sucked!!!!

STAY AWAY... WASTE OF TIME

Worst service ever. Had reservation and still had to wait when there are plenty of tables available. Seems like they do not have enough workers on a Saturday evening at around dinner time. Idiots! The workers look immature and hobo, nothing close to the classy Cheesy Cake Factory workers. Decided to leave and eat somewhere else. Never tasted the food so I can not rate the food.

WORST RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE I EVER HAD!!!!

Don't waste your time

I went to the one at Kodak theater yesterday and the food is definetly below quality. The shabu shabu in Monterey Park is worth the drive to have better meat and not so watered down sauces. The staff was only there to take orders and send you the check after. The long wait, high prices and mediocre quality I recomend to just not go there!!

DON'T GO TO THIS RESTAURANT!!!!!

We are a middle income family & so we only get to eat out once a month. I was really saddened to take my family to such a poorly quality restaurant as Koji's at the City Block. The food tasted awful & the staff was rude & often non-existent. The bill was very expensive for such poor quality food. The family eating next to us were also very upset about the service. I believe in karma & so things have a way of working out for themselves.

I REALLY THINK THE GOOD REVIEWS RECEIVED FOR THIS RESTAURANT MUST HAVE BEEN PLACED BY THE OWNERS.

AWFUL FOOD & HIGH PRICES!

THIS IS THE WORST RESTAURANT I'VE EVER BEEN. The food and service was the worst I've ever experienced. I complained to the manager and she responded by being rude and arrogant which made the situation worst. I'd rather go to McDonalds compared to Koji's.

TERRIBLE SERVICE!

DON'T GO TO THIS RESTAURANT. The service was terrible. We waited at least 30 minutes before someone took our order. The people sitting behind us came 20 minutes after me and received their food 1st which didn't make any sense. ALSO THE FOOD WAS AWFUL. We were charged $70 for two people and we received terrible food and service.

DON'T RUIN YOUR NIGHT BY GOING TO HIS RESTAURANT!

Excellent quality of food and unique sauces

I've been to Koji's both at The Block and in Hollywood. While I enjoyed the ambience at both places, I liked the layout at The Block better. The servers are very courteous and I never had to wait long for my food to come. My family and I always order the Meat Lovers combination with 3 choices of beef. What I love most about Koji's and why I give it 5 stars is because of the sauce you dip the meat in. It is nothing I have ever tasted before. Very delicious and original.
