My wife and I wanted to try a new restaurant in Orange County for our anniversary and our research led us to try Jason's. It is located in an area of Santa Ana that is currently undergoing a facelift. However, we were extremely glad that we took a chance on something new and different. The decor is fresh and hip, but understated. The restaurant was not very crowded due it's location, which scares some people away. Food Ordered: Jason's Salad, Prime Ribeye, Filet Mignon, Brulee Cheesecake Pluses: Food (Great Steaks and salads!!!), Food Prices, Service, Decor, Live Music Minuses: Drink prices a little steep ($9 martini in a small glass) Overall Grade: A- We will definitely go back again. I hope it stays "undiscovered" for our benefit
Pros: Ambience, Prices, Food, Music, Service
Cons: Cocktail Prices

I really got a home feeling at this place like the place you could just hang out at for a while. They have a full bar, live music some weekends, and when we went a great Latin jazz band. I recently moved to Santa Ana and the art walk is so fun and you realize how much more is going on in Santa Ana than you previously thought. Anyways too keep it short, the place is cool, and the food is amazing (Carribbean Crepes. At walk is 1st Sat. of each month, its the perfect night to try out a new and unique place to eat.

Well, I've lived in Orange for a while now, and find Downtown Santa Ana one of the most up and coming hang out spots available in the OC. Jason's Downtown Restaurant is a clear example of what I mean. A place which resembles the sophisticated but still comfortable type of scene you'd find in New York, or Frisco. The food is out of this world, from middle eastern dishes like their Lamb Tajine (OMG), to their good old Potstickers w/ some kicker mango sauce to dip. The service is great but still comfortable and layed back(Not snobby, which is annoying), and whether you're there for lunch in their huge patio w/ the bright sky, or enjoying their live music on weekends, the place is perfect.
Pros: The Food
Cons: The Glare inside
