I have been waxed all over the world, but nothing compares to the wax I had at Trilogy with Rachel. If you are looking for a fast, virtually painless wax, look no further. She was friendly, fast and efficient. I will highly recomend her and Trilogy to everyone I know.
Pros: Fantastic Waxing Skills

Tried both locations and still am unimpressed with the massages. Nothing special other than the tropical themed ambiance which is quite nice and relaxing, but for $105 for a basic swedish massage, not worth the money!
Pros: Nice ambiance
Cons: Massages mediocre!

I don't see how anybody can relax in this place. As soon as I walked in, all I received was dirty looks from the front desk staff. They were on the phone and didn't even smile or hold a finger up or anything, just dirty looks from "superior" desk jockeys. They finally get me situated, and even though they claim to have a steam room/sauna in the men's spa, I find that it is only a steam shower. Not that great, but I take one. I make my way to the waiting area where my therapist greets me, eyes down at the floor and with a limp handshake, then takes me to the room and asks me questions like she's reading them off a telepromter. I lay down on the table, she comes in, slams the door, talks too much, and rushes through the massage. I dropped over $100 to relax at this so called "upscale" spa, but I left way more tense and frustrated than I was before I came in. It seems as if the only thing they care about is taking your money and getting you out the door so they can rip the next person off. Upscale, don't think so...upsell...you bet!

My boyfriend and I were visiting family in Manhattan Beach and they recommended the new Trilogy Spa. It was a beautiful day and we arrived early as recommended to spend time together on the outside patio. We loved laying on the covered daybed. We had the couple’s massage together in the same room. The therapists were nice and we were both relaxed. The only negative was that my boyfriend was disappointed that the men’s locker room only had a steam waterfall shower and not a tub like the women’s. We will definitely go back the next time we’re in town.

I live in the South Bay and just visited Trilogy Spa for my first time. I had the Trilogy deluxe massage (an 1 ½ service but only 1 hour and 20 minutes of massage) and it was great. The pain in my shoulder was gone by the time I left because of all the stretching my masseuse performed. The men’s locker room was clean and the large shower had good pressure. I will definitely go back the next time I am in pain.
Pros: Facilities and Massage
Cons: Appointment time

My girlfriends and I just finished my birthday party at the new Trilogy in Manhattan Beach and we are all now converted devotees! The personalized service made our party a huge success. The beautiful lunch setup on the relaxing deck with private daybeds couldn't be beat. We could have stayed forever. The services were professional with a caring touch, and the entire staff was courteous and friendly. The facility was a bit noisy at times, but only because customers were having such a good time together (our group of eight included). A few of us have been long time customers at Trilogy Hermosa and we were pleasantly surprised with our great experience at the new Manhattan location. I would advise arriving early to take advantage of the expanded water amenties and relaxing outdoor deck if you have time.
Pros: Friendly, Great for Parties, Large Outdoor Sundeck, Clean
Cons: Can be noisy, Parking meters, Stairs

I recently visited Trilogy in Manhattan Beach and it was the worst experience I've ever had at a spa. The manager is stuck up and condescending. I, too, like the peson below, asked a few questions about my therapist's training and was told by her in a snotty way not to worry about it. She talked to me like I was five years old. I mean really, if I'm spending all this money to come to your spa, you should at least indulge me and answer my questions. So that was my front desk experience. The massage was equally horrible. The therapist talked about herself and her relationship problems for the entire 80 minutes, like I really care about that! She was so self involved that she didn't even remember to work out the few things I had asked her to. I have heard good things about Trilogy, but after this experience, it's hard to imagine why anyone in their right mind would go there, or continue to go there. I will never go back and to all those first timer's out there....SAVE YOUR MONEY!!

I bought a gift certificate from Trilogy spa for my wife's birthday. She had just finished a major project at work and really needed some pampering. All I can say is evidently Karina is a magician, as my wife came home a completely transformed woman. She loved it!!!

I've had many facial all over LA and the facial I received at Trilogy spa was by far the best. My facialist Karina, was very knowledgeable and informative through out the process while making me feel very relaxed. She made some great suggestions on caring for my skin and took the time to explain, which most facialist fail to do. The atmosphere is very soothing. From the moment I walked in to the time I left, I felt well taken care of which is a sign of a great place. I highly recommend their facials. I would go back to try other services.

Trilogy has a good location and the amenities are nice but the attitude I recieved while trying to relax is not acceptable. I went for a massage but could not even relax because of the snottyness I recieved from the staff. I had simply asked a few questions that I thought were valid about my therapists training, and I was simply told "not to worry about their training and that I was going to have the best massage of my life"... well obviosly I didn't. I hope that in the future they will pay more attention to their clients and not they're egos.
Pros: Steam
Cons: Service
