#1 Ballpark in the country!

by sandyjohn

Great place to see a ballgame. The staff here are friendly, tickets are affordable. Great choice of snack concessions from inexpensive fast food to pricey gourmet food.

Lots of game day promotional give away items for all fans. Baseball can sometimes get boring - this stadium makes it exciting by entertaining you in between innings and pitching changes. We all love it here. GO ANGELS!

  • Pros: Family friendly ballpark.
  • Cons: Parking can be bad.

With roaring crowds, packed stands and the beloved rally monkey, it's been baseball fever since the Angels took the 2002 World Series championship.

by Contributor

In Short
This midsize stadium, home to the Angels since 1966, originally seated just more than 43,000. But subsequent renovations--including a $100 million face-lift in 1996--has increased capacity by more than 2,000 seats. That's a perfect size for baseball. The "outfield extravaganza" waterfall-and-geyser area is a signature piece of the stadium, but the park's most famous feature is its grand tribute to 1960s kitsch design: its nostalgic giant "A" ringed by an angelic halo.

good seating, good prices

by juju13es

Though I've never really enjoyed baseball games when I was younger, but just recently I grew an appreciation for baseball and specifically for the Angels stadium. First of all, they have very low-priced tickets... I could get decent seating for $15 a pop. It's a great place for a group outting when you're looking to not spend too much money. Not only that but the stadium itself is well designed so pretty much wherever you sit, you'll get a good view. I'm going there for the upcoming game against the White Sox, and I'm pretty excited~~

Mehh

by cambird

My family has season tickets to Angel Stadium, so I have pretty well-founded opinion of it. Though I enjoy pretty much any baseball game, I now realize how sub par this stadium is. Granted, Arte Moreno has done a lot to lower ticket prices (though food prices continue to rise), but it just feels like such a plastic-y and cheap place. The rocks in center field like the ones in my parents' backyard pool and what's with the giant green patch next to it? This places reeks of conservative Orange County hokeyness.

Great Stadium! Great parking! Great Experience!

by fatmime

I have tried to follow this team, but I just can't do it. But I will say that Onwner Arte Moreno, has done a great job putting a competititve team on the field.

Nice employees, excellent parking, comfortable seats, ez access to all levels. One night I asked the aisle vendor for a Diet Coke, he said, "Sorry, I'm all out, but I will go get you one." I said ok and turned to my buddy and started saying, "Yeah right, I'll see you in the 9th inning. Get me a Diet Coke. What a joke! I'll never see him again. What a....." Before you know it, he had gotten me my drink."

As for the fans, you can't label ALL the fans by the antics of one baffoon. Overall, they are very nice! Go experience the fireworks, the rocks, the trophy. You will be glad you did.

Visiting Fans

by chefjohnjo

For those visiting fans, us Angel fans welcome you, just know this, were not the same fair weathered fans of the past. I'm sure if I were to go into Wrigley field with my Angel Gear on I would take some abuse as well. Angel stadium is know longer the place to go see the other team play as years past. The Angels now can say they have true fans that will back them no matter what. Here's to the Rally Monkey and the fans who love it. For all the other people who don't like him, your just jealous.

Rude, harrassing fans

by geebabs

If you are a visiting fan trying to root for your team, do not go see a game here!! The Angels fans are the worst I have ever seen!!!! My husband & I tried to watch our home team play here, and a family sitting two rows behind us let their 7 year scream at the top of his lungs, in our ears, "Cubs S_ _ k" all night. Then when we said something to them about it, the entire area harrassed us, even threw stuff at us, the rest of the night. The Angel fans go ten steps beyond good natured rivalry & do whatever they can to torture an opposing fan. These fans have absolutely no class. I can honestly say, fans at Wrigely would never have done that to them.

  • Cons: , $7.50 for hot dog

A Big A for The ED

by whoaanelly

Don't let the rumors fool you. The park is a great place to see a game and almost always has a great crowd. The fan base is growing as a generation of youth that actually ORIGINATED in the area are coming of age (not just transplants from elesewhere). Many of the bad things you'll hear are from people who haven't been there in over two years.

Wakeup Citysearch!!

by scottyd121

Wakeup Citysearch! My recent trip to Edison Field was fantastic, and the Angels are a great team. Not to mention that, in contrast to a Dodger game, the fans at Anaheim are friendly, polite, and excited to see their team. Can you say "Rally Monkey!?!?" The stadium is beautiful, the seats are great, it is easy to get to, park, and not expensive. Send your "editor" to another game and see what he thinks now. They built it, and people are coming! Wakeup and smell the peanuts and crackerjacks!

  • Pros: Great Seats, Great Fans, Easy to Get There
  • Cons: Parking Costs

Better Than Others

by Sergio

Well I would have to say that Edison International Field is one of the best places in Southern California to check out any event as well as the California Angel's home games. The stadium is somewhat fairly new just opened about a couple of years or so. They have different places to eat. Also they have an area where you can enjoy playing different types of games with your family during the 7th inning stretch.
