With its French comfort food and cafe vibe, this eatery offers a more affordable selection of goods to satiate your appetite--or at least hold you over until the next paycheck. Sure, the seating is cramped, lines can be long, and service might be a tad hurried, but the intoxicating smells emanating from the bakery make it nearly impossible for shoppers to walk past the savory croissants, brioche and fruit tarts, all fresh out of the oven. Dine-in customers can load up on unlimited baskets of baguette slices while waiting for a tuna nicoise salad or quiche du jour, but those in a time crunch can go straight to the bakery counter.
