best value in OC. we eat hear at least twice a month. my wife and i both get the chicken teriyaki bento bowl, and we feed our 6 and 9 year kids off our plate. Plenty of food including the chicken, tempura, california rolls, salad and miso. Out the door for $16!

ATTENTION. ATTENTION

My friend used to work at this place. Because the owner of this establishment is completely unfair, cruel, terrible, etc! When my friend quit the owner didn't give him any of his money for the hours he worked before he quit. My friend had a student visa without a work permit but when he did overtime he didn't receive any of his overtime pay from the owner, in fact he didn't even get minimum pay! They didn't give him any breaks and including lunch breaks! Besides my friend, most workers there are in fact illegal workers! Even though they were illegal workers and they aren't supposed to be taxed from their pay the owner of this place did! He takes taxes from everyone's tips! Worse, for everyone's tips the owner steals over 30% of it and uses it as he pleases! He gives all his employees a hard time and pushes them around, and when they quit he won't give them their pay!!! How can he take all the taxes for himself from illegal workers?!!! WE SHOULD ALL REPORT HIM AND EXILE HIM FROM AMERICA. This owner, who doesn't even give minimum pay, do you guys think that he would even pay his own government taxes?!! HELL NO!! This guy doesn't pay his own taxes due to the government! To all who read this please report this guy to the EDD and the IRS and make sure he's run out of business and possibly exiled out of here!!!! PLEASE!!!!

plague in your mouth... yummy. The two stars represent the black eyes I would be thrilled to administer to the management here.

My apologies, allow me to rephrase: Please patronize this fine culinary establishment if you enjoy your food with a generous side of "health risk".

I do not fear hyperbole... the teriyaki chicken that I ordered off the lunch menu was pinkish/red, with a severe undercooked consistency. My collegue and I politely explained to the young male server, "both our food is really undercooked". Apparently the audacity of such a claim shocked the young man's conscience so much that with a vexed expression he stated quite aggressively, "well, what do you want me to do?" I was so astonished at the dearth of business etiquette possessed by said server that I remained silent for several seconds to gain my composure.

I "spoke" with the manager but unfortunately communication entails speaking the same language. His responses were curt, rude and very ambiguous.

I understand, as several of my kin own and operate eating establishments, that many customers hold unreasonable expectations when considering restaurants. But this is quite frankly the more horrid customer service experience I have received in quite some time... and I eat in K-town frequently, mind you.

I digress... my point being... if in fact you are privy to unpalletable, risky eating ventures, do so at your own risk. Do yourself a favor and look for an alterative japanese eatery in the irvine area. I concede the prices here are very alluring, but would anyone eat excrement if it were in a blowout sale? I wouldn't... well not twice.

Do this establishment a favor and let them feel the results of their incompetence in their pocket book.

cheap cheap cheap!. my sister goes to uci and i love eating at tenko whenever i visit her. the servings are MASSIVE there and for a really good bargain price! you can get a pile (literally.. a giant pile) of food for less than 11 dollars. the quality of the food is not the BEST, but it is definately decent and worth a try. it is a great choice if you feel like japanese food, but don't want to break the bank going. i wouldn't reccomend the sushi.. it's not all that great and not that cheap...

It's big portion..... Tenko Teriyaki House is a good place for lunch where you get big portion size under about 6 dollars per person.

Although not recommended for sushis, chicken and beef teriyaki is okay. Beef teriyaki tend to be a bit dry; however, overall pretty good.
