Authentic, delicious, and inexpensive!. I am native to LA and have been going here for about 12-13 years now. I have NEVER had such consistantly great Mexican food anywhere else. I've also never had a bad server here. The prices are amazing and portions large. I love that you can help yourself to beer in the fridge while you wait. It just makes it feel like your at a friends house. I've watched them expand and grow in the years and only hope the place always stays in the Sandoval family. Thanks for some great food and good times!

A must visit!. My gfriend has been coming here for years with her parents. She turned me onto this place and i try to visit it every two weeks. The way the cheese melts over the lip of the hot plate, to the beans and rice. Its all good. Order anything off the menu and you wont go wrong. Parking can be tough but worth it. Exilekiss maybe you should try taco bell.

P-Town's Finest. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food in an authentic atmosphere (read: not El Torito), this is the place! A great family-run restaurant, with some of the best Mexican food around. I've never been disappointed with anything I've ordered, from the carnitas enchiladas rancheras to the yummy tacos, tamales, and flautas--it's all SO good! And the service is always warm and friendly. I grew up in SoCal and recently moved to Oregon--of all the Mexican food places I miss, this one is at the top of the list. I wish they'd expand to Portland...

THE BEST MEXICAN FOOD AROUND. My family stumbled across this resturant by accident-it's the best accident we've ever had. When we all go in (there's about 17) they can always seat us right away and the service is the best! There food is authentic, fresh and REAL mexican food!

Thank you to the Sandovals~

hands down best. i don't know what restaurant "exilekiss" ate at, but it wasn't el faralito. they have the best mexican food north of the border. being a native of so cal, i've had my share of mexican food, and this place is the best, hands down. the crowds that are there every night of the week must concur...

I need it!. The best Mexican food in O.C. and the most reasonably priced. Fantastic friendly service, tasty Carnitas and Machaca con Huevos. I love the self service beer when you walk in. We eat there 3-4 times a month. Can't wait to go again!!

Warm Service, but Mediocre Mexican Food. I tried this restaurant based on it being voted "#1 Mexican" in the OC on Citysearch. We tried 3 dishes, and sadly the end result was very disappointing. The decor / restaurant is very "old, neighborhood family restaurant" (nothing wrong with that), in a quiet part of town. The Pork Tamales were the best item we had tonight: A touch spicy, tasty, but the pork was a little tough. The Carnitas Burrito I had was the biggest disappointment: It was honestly THE saltiest Carnitas I've ever had in my life (and I've had a LOT of Carnitas)! I could only take a few bites before stopping. The Chips were stale, and the Chicken Flautas turned out to be ~average at best.

The only real highlight was the very warm, GREAT service and feel at the restaurant. You could tell it was run by an honest family and the other servers all seemed to exude that feeling as well. It's really too bad the food was so mediocre, or else this would truly be one of the better places to eat in the OC for authentic Mexican food. The search continues...
