Really Great Sushi at a Good Price. I don't know where the other reviewers went but it was NOT ISE in Yorba Linda.

This is a great little family owned restaurant in Placentia/Yorba Linda that has really great sushi at a good price. The service is great and the food is better than the service. It is not super fancy if that is your expectation, but if you want to have some good food in a relaxed atmosphere from a family, this is a good place to go.

The special is what we normally get. This is a lot of food for the money. It includes teriaki (beef or chicken) plus miso soup, salad, sushi and shashimi. You can substitute tempura and basically every time my wife and I go there we have enough left over for lunch the following day.

I also will never go back there. Very disappointed.. I don't eat meat or dairy, both make me very sick. After asking if one the items on the menu had animal products I was given a strange look (fair enough I'm used to his) and it took some convincing to get the waiter to go ask the chef. The food was okay , nothing spectacular. Our group ordered a couple of warm dishes and sushi. The hot food came out promptly, but the sushi never showed up. The waiters rarely came back to check up on us, a request for extra napkins was ignored and they brought us the bill without serving us our sushi.

I'll never go back. The bar was too brightly light and the service was terrible, the chef's were so drunk they were yelling and laughing rather than serving. We asked for our check after being mostly ignored for an hour. 35 minutes later we asked for our check again and the chef brought out 5 orders of yellowtail collar for our party of 8 that we did not order. When the bill for my boyfriend and I finally came another 20 minutes later it had all the "extras" they had served us on it, including drinks no one in our party ordered so sushi for two (and I didn't drink that night) was well over $100.00. When we asked for an itemized bill for the fish they basically could not understand English and added a tip without mentioning it. I'll never go back.
