Takes way to much time!. I love fine dining... However, I hate waiting 30 min inbetween each course! The food was good - not to die for - but I will never go back. We left before dessert because we couldn't take it anymore. We were so tired - 4 hours later and what started out as a wonderful different experience ended up in us wanting to just get out of there. I wil not go back - but it was worth finding out what this restaurant is all about…
Not my favorite. Great champagne and an extensive and very impressive wine list. Appetizers are good but very basic(crackers, dips, goat cheese) 1st course was good, salad course was especially bad and main entree was not my favorie. The restaurant floor is basically the living room and dining room of a small house. I found it a bit awkward and uncomfortable since you can hear all conversations and most people have to whisper to each other. The cocktail area is a tiny bedroom or closet space upstairs turned into a bar. This is definitely a place that caters to wine enthusiasts, because of the amazing wine selection.…
What an experience. The Hobbit is such a great place to go for a really nice dinner, like once a year! They have a variety of yummy appetizers, original courses, and good champagne. We go around Christmas time and it's very nice and cozy. I would definitely recommend making reservations well in advance because it gets booked.…
Very cool experience. Went to the Hobbit for a company event and loved it. I wasn't sure what to expect when I pulled up to the restaurant. It's a house! We started with cocktails on the 2nd floor, made our way down to the cellar, munched on cheese and other nice treats and selected our dinner wine and prepared ourselves for a magnificent meal. And I must say, it was a wonderful experience. Very elegant, but not stuffy.…
Unique Dining Experience!!. The Hobbit has only one seating per evening, so make reservations early!. It was orginially a residence, so the tables are arranged in the dining and living rooms. The upstairs has 2 lounges (in the bedrooms) and a full bar. There are 6 courses served, starting with several scrumptious appetizers in the wine cellar. There you pick your wine for the evening, and if you are not a wine connoisseur, the staff will recommend one for you. The rest of the five courses are spread out over the 2.5 hours , so be prepared for an extended evening! The meals were outstanding and quite delicious. My girlfriend took me there for my birthday and it was a magical experience. The only caveat that I have is that the wine made some tables a bit more loud than usual. But other than that I highly recommend it.…
