I could go to Ruth's Chris and have a nice juicy steak cooked to order just the way I like it with all the fixins for less!!! (Pacific Ranch Money Pit!!!) The owner needs to sell this place for a nice profit and retire. Time for LOOPNET. WWW.LOOPNET.COM
Lots of variety in cuts and types of meats, fish, and poultry. Sometimes the only place you can find special cuts without ordering in advance. Many choices of nuts and dried fruits as well as fresh fruit and vegetables. Their wine selection is extensive. The employees have always be kind and courteous. Great specialty market.
Awesome. great wine selection, local produce at good prices, good meat selection. Don't come here to buy staples, but the best plzce for produce and meat.
Great store.
I have been a customer at this market for about 10 years. I came upon it accidentaly when searching for a different type of market. My inital feelings were great stuff, but yes, not user friendly staff.
I decided to take the high road and approach the staff pleasantly then making my need known. I do not expect people to fall over me. When you treat peoplw with respect, you get the same back.
Interestingly enough, the produce department is far superior to any other market in the area. An, gues what cheaper. The meat and deli dept are superb. I can request any type/ cut of meat, or fish . They always come through.
For those of you who will never go back, I suggest you do but with a much better attitude to those working there.
Pacific Ranch Market. pacific ranch ranch market has the most unwelcoming and poor employees. the place is ok, not much of a good selection. the only reason i go to pacific ranch market is for the deli and bakery. however, the employees are unpleasant with poor attitudes and poor service
Second time no better than the last.
I went back to this market one night after I vowed not to, because I had decided everyone deserves a second chance, I live so close to it, and because I was assured my negative experience was out of character for this market. But once again, my experience was dreadful. I had no intention of writing about it, but when my friend and neighbor amusingly notified me of some reviews which responded to my review, which I gave months ago, I could not help myself.
It was near Christmas, and I was picking up some things for a dinner I was preparing for the following evening, along with a bottle of wine my friend recommended I try. My total, I might add, turned out to be very expensive for just a few items~well over $100!!! I happened to see the same cashier who was rude to me the last time, and wanted to give her a second chance. When I approached her, I quietly waited for a greeting of some kind, but received none. She did not smile or say hello, or make me feel welcome in any way. When I began rummaging through my purse to locate my money, she breathed a long and impatient sigh, as if I were taking forever. Afterward, she handed me my change rather quickly, and offered a contemptuous and sneering, “Merry Chriiiiistmas...,” while making it obvious she was happy to see me leave.
I am sorry, but this is so wrong! I am a paying customer for crying out loud!!! When I arrived there, I was cautiously optimistic, and in the Christmas spirit. When I left, I once again was feeling angry, and like I paid too much.
If you are a male adolescent with raging hormones like Rsuave, {below} and enjoy having young cashiers who are “super hot,” snobbishly treat you with awful service, this is the perfect store for you! On the other hand, if you are a serious consumer who spends money, likes to be treated with good manners, and shops for an entire family while searching for quality and value, go to Sprouts down the street!
Definitely Loyal! Love the service!. I have never had a complaint about the products purchased from this market. Pacific Ranch has quality, locally-grown products and the price is right. By the way, I know exactly which checker you are talking about. Say what you will about her attitude, but she is super HOT and so is her blonde partner in crime at the check-stand next to her. They are the ONLY reason I shop at Pacific Ranch Market. If you haven't been, you should check this place out.
Still loyal.
Unlike the last reviewer, I am not new to the area. I have lived in the community for nearly two decades. I have shopped at Pacific Ranch Market loyally in all those years. I disagree somewhat with the last reviewer over the service. It is above average, with nice people. (although I know exactly which girl was rude to the last reviewer/and yes she can be very snooty!) I do agree with the last reviewer concerning the prices. This store was once a unique market with a unique niche. Times are changing however, and it has lost much of its uniqueness, and appeal. This used to be a store one went to in order to find items one could not get anywhere else. Now those very same items can be found in other stores, at much lower prices. Also, the same level of service which was once unique at this market, can be found elsewhere- leaving this store one of many in a competitive market, with much higher prices.
The wine selection is this store's saving grace. The prices are reasonable, and the wines diverse. I love to shop here for a bottle of wine or two, and for a few items here and there, but that is it. If one were to do their entire grocery shopping at this location, they will pay a large fortune. Who wants to spend $500 when one can pay $200 for their weekly shopping needs for the same items? I don't- I love this market and always will- I just can't afford it anymore.
Will not shop there again. I am new to the area and went to Pacific Ranch Market for the first time a few days ago. The prices were very high, and quality was ok. When I went to pay for my items the young people at the counter did not even acknowlege my presence. The young girl whose name was Lindy/Libby was very rude to me when I asked about an item I was looking for. Speaking with a scruffy, unshaven young man, she acted as if my question was insignificant and a bother to her. I left feeling angry and like I paid too much. There is a store called Sprouts a few miles south located on the same street which is much better. It is similar only it is newer, cleaner, and much less expensive. The quality is great, and it is bustling with activity with friendly employees ready to help with any request. Pacific Ranch Market was virtually empty, and I can see why. My first time there will be my last.
The Best of Everything.
This quaint market holds gourmet delights and items for just good cooking. Wonderful fresh vegetables and fruits, fine meats and cheeses, a great deli, amazing assortment of breads, a great bakery and a
fabulous wine selection. If you don't know what to purchase they can assist you; the wine staff is extremely
knowledgeable.
A plus - Many times the tomatoes, strawberries and corn you can purchase are locally grown.
They always have in-season (Holiday) items. From Halloween to Christmas and on!!
Customer service is great too. It is truly a delightful place to shop.
