TASTY, TASTY!

by ALEXGUNNCLARK at Citysearch

My husband mother and I ate here after visiting the mission in SJC. I can't say enough nice things about the restaurant's staff. We had a lovely time and the food was delicious.

Save your money!

Thought we would try this place as I thought they served Italian food especially pasta's. I was hoping for some Linguine Frutta de mare or chicken parmagian. Friday night traffic helped us decide to find something local. We were there early and one of only three tables being served. The bread was a bucket of a baguette and a dark whole grained bun. Both tasted like frozen tasteless dough. I ordered the bowtie pasta with blackened chicken & Gorgonzola cheese, garlic & sun dried tomatoes ($14). The chicken was dry, and while I love Gorgonzola, this dish was dry, salty and I could tell I would have indigestion tonight and I did. My wife had a small salad, an appetizer of chicken wrapped in a won ton & fried and in a drizzle of pesto sauce. She was also disappointed. I had a glass of wine $8 and our total bill was $40 + $6 tip. Service was good, but they were not busy. We are foodies and love to seek out good food and value. We could have eaten at several Italian restaurants that served delicious food for less$. For the price & cute atmosphere, I expected a better menu, and better tasting food. By the way, they served our dinner about 6-7 minutes after ordering so the ingredients were already cooked, that's why the chicken seemed so dry. Next time I will go to Marios or Sonny's, or Pomodoro in Laguna.

  • Pros: Really cute atmosphere
  • Cons: Very limited menu - food disappointing

Good service, good ambience, great food!

Sat us down right away. I had the beef tournados on portobello mushroom with port wine sauce...outstanding! Capped it with a sinful chocolate cake. Good service...not too close, not to far away. Great all around!

Don't bother! Worst service in town, bad smell

by Topenga at Citysearch

This place was recommended to me, so I had high expectations. As soon as my family and I arrived for dinner, the host ignored us for 5 minutes - he was on the phone for the first 3 minutes and then the rest of the time he had a verbal match with one of the people he worked with. All this time we were stunned at his rudnenesss - not once did he acknowledge us. When we finally sat down, the waiter was gruff and visibly upset that we only ordered water for drinks. That's when he decided to make us wait 10 minutes to bring the bread and take our orders. I was appalled with the service, that I got up and left. Oh, I forgot to mention that the minute we walked in, we were "welcomed" by a wave of stench (don't think their food is fresh).

Such horrible service!!!

POOR QUALITY - TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

by rorohouse at Citysearch

I took a bite of my bread and bit into a piece of porcelain. The owner was aggressive and defensive. Sadly, I used to love this restaurant. However I will no longer be dining here. I would strongly reconsider eating at this restaurant if qaulity food and great customer service is what you are looking for.
