Amazing decor... Food is even better!. Citrus City Grille is probably one of the best decorated restaurants I've been to in awhile. While not everyone likes the contemporary feel...I think the rich purples, oranges, and greens really make food look that much better when it gets placed in front of you on nice white linen tableclothes.

I had an amazing sandwich, called the Newporter, and was not disappointed. Came with a choice of shoestring fries or fresh fruit. I opted for the fruit, which was very fresh indeed. The sandwich was anything but bland, which is amazing for a grilled chicken breast, avacodo, and swiss.

Parking wasn't a problem, although I've heard it can get busy during lunch. They also take reservations, but I just walked in and was seated right away.

Yummy. Their bread and special dipping sauce is worth it alone. My favorite entree so far is their Wild Mushroom Penne. Had their eggplant ravioli and it was visually pretty. Wasn't that impressed with their calamari, ours for some reason was a bit undercooked and their tortilla soup is pretty tasty. Their desserts are good too. Creme brulee (one of the better ones I've had in OC) or chocolate souffle is what I would suggest.

The appetizers are great and their creme brulee is outstanding. The friendly service and fun atmosphere has kept us coming back (we've celebrated 2 birthdays and 2 graduations there).

best calamari in Orange County. Great outdoor dining on patio in old town Orange, with the best Calamari aroud.
