Received Inflated Estimate - Rip off!!. I called for an estimate for repair on my garage refrigator. All it needed was a starter relay which is very easily installed in about 5 minutes or less and available online for $35. The repairman found the problen in just a few minutes and gave me a estimate. The part was listed at $95 and labor at $135. I just paid for the estimate only and found another company whose estimate was much more reasonable. They just charged $40 for the part. I would definitely not recommend this company because I felt they were trying to rip me off with their inflated prices!

CALIFORNIA APPLIANCE REPAIR IS A RIP OFF COMPANY!!!. This is one of the worst companies in my 10 years of sales i have ever come across. We purchased a Frigidare refrigerator 2 years ago, and after a year and a half of use, the water valve had broken, the ice machine was stuck on crunch, and just recently the temperature control started to faulter. We purchased the extended warranty, and were given three options. we contacted California Appliance Repair. They sent us Alex. after 3 visits and 15+ hours at our home, Alex was able to fix the water valve, and break the cover, which he charged us to replace. I contacted the company and filled a complaint and requested someone other than Alex come to complete the job do to his lack of care to fix our fridge. Alex showed up with a co worker and after an hour the asured us the problem was not the compressor and that they had resolved the problem. Now 2 1/2 weeks later i have a working water dispenser, no water - but a nice shiny new cover. And the current temperature in the fridge is 59 degrees. I contacted the company and they told me they no longer wanted to work on our refrigerator...I am less than happy to say the least. Do yourself a favor and choose a different company - they have an F on the BBB.. for a reason!
