Don't go to Joey's!!!!!I have to tell people to WATCH OUT!!!!!! Had my 99 Passat towed to his shop on 8/12/12 because of these reviews and I must say, THE BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER!!!!!! Even though the work seems fine, I have not really driven this week to test it, the physical, visible appearance of my car was freighting!!!! I had just filled my tank and had a full service, rims included. car wash the day before, drove only 40 miles, and when I got my car back it had 132 miles on my tank and the car was disgusting!!!!! Coffee stains on my console, grease hand prints on the seats, sticky stuff on the steering wheel, glove box and door. Stereo changed to a station I do not use with all my settings adjusted to rear speakers, high bass and treble. They spilled something in the back seat and window, tried to wipe it up and just smudged it everywhere. Grease in the back seat area. When I asked "What happened to my car? Did you use it to pick up parts or something else", he shied away and just said No and shut down. My husband was waiting in the parking lot when my car drove up with two people in it unloading food and drinks, Joey didn't deny it!!!! In the end he knocked $10 off my $450 price, which later I found out was WAY high, and he told me my car was old and needed detail work, I had deep detail work done on it a week before. little did he know. DON'T GO HERE!!!!! They will use it as a shop car, and oh and if you're a girl and show up with a guy, even if it's your car, he will talk to and call him first. Completely sexist to boot.

Keeping my BMW running. I've taken my BMW to Joeys Auto Service for a little over a year. Every time I walk in the shop Joey makes me feel like family. He does a great with servicing my car and making me feel like I'm not getting ripped off or taken advantage of. I can honestly say I've never had any issues or breakdowns after leaving his shop. Thanks Joey for keeping my BMW running!

Reliable mechanic. I took my Audi Q5 to Joeys Auto for repair. I just came up on my 15,000 mile service and needed a full service inspection. I originally went to the Audi dealer, but the prices were way too expensive. Joey and his mechanics did a great job working on my car. Joey was very honest and very affordable. I appreciated Joeys honesty, and how he didn't try to charge me an arm and leg for everything. He said I could wait another few miles for certain services my car needed. I will bring my car back again for any other auto services :)

Never again. This place doesnt even deserve a rating. My mom has taken her car here for about 5 years she told me oh joey is so nice, and if u need a ride home he'll take you and pick you up after. I said ok cool took my car there for a rear seal leak joey said it was the gasket and so we paid $260 to have him fix it and it still had the same problem so i went back and he said oh its another gasket again $260 turns out he was charging for parts and labor but was only siliconing them. I had to junk that car. My mom got a car and it needed motor mounts this was in april of 2011 charged us 300 dollars. it is now january 2012 and the same motor mount needed to be replaced. Never Again. Expensive labor for cheap half ass job, dont let his personality fool you. Ill stick to my new mechanic who charged me way less.

Thanks Joey!. Very friendly and excellent customer service. I had no idea what to do and they were very helpful. They fixed my automobile with a quickness. Didn't try to trick me into fixing anything else that didnt neeed it!

If youre looking for a great mechanic - he's your man!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!. Don't let the nice guy handshake and previous reviews fool you, Cheap labor for cheap work. I recently took my car in for major engine maintenance and was immediately skeptical by the hole in the wall location but Joey is a nice guy and convinced me that his #1 priority is the customer. At first everything seemed to work but after a couple of weeks I started noticing a large oil leak so I took it back and asked him to examine it. He told me I needed a new Oil gasket, so I said ok. A week later, same oil leak only bigger. Upon further investigation I noticed the "gasket" he changed wasn't a gasket at all but some plastic epoxy that was SHOVED into where the gasket was supposed to be. I then took it to another mechanic and was informed that the major work I had Joey do previously was where the problem was coming from, a front oil seal that was incorrectly installed. I called Joey to inform him of the situation and he tried telling me "sometimes you get bad parts." Well, I'm sure he's correct, sometimes you do get bad parts but he didn't use the CORRECT part and that just added to the already existing problem to which he created in the first place. I really wanted give this shop a better review but with situations such as this, how would that be possible? So if you want to pay cheap prices for questionable labor, follow the other reviewers and choose joey's auto. Otherwise, pay a little more somewhere else and do more research than I initially did and get it done right

Joey to the rescue!. H is for honest. E is for efficient. R is for reliable. O is for outstanding! Both of my cars needed major repairs. I first found Joey online. With all the rave reviews, this opted me to contact him. Upon first impression, I must say I was quite impressed. Right off the bat, I found him to be friendly and very knowledgeable. I was offered a thorough explanation of the work to be performed and the best part, an unbelievable price/savings! Other places tried to suggest work that need not be done to extract more money however Joey was different. I'm full of gratitude for I'm a female and can easily be taken advantage of when it comes to auto work. With the poor economy, the savings is much appreciated! Bottom line is, I am one satisfied customer. Joey saved me! He is my hero and now, not only is he my mechanic but also my friend. The team at Joey's Auto Repair is great! Fast, friendly with fantastic workmanship, five stars all the way!!! Joey is a standup guy and I highly recommend him to anyone in need of auto repair. Keep up the outstanding job!!! Xoxo, DaniGirl

Fountain Valley's best mechanic!. Joey is a mechanic unlike any other. He is personable, friendly, and most of all honest. He does great work at an affordable price and is open on Saturday to accommodate his customers who work M-F 9-5.

joeys!!!!. on a sunday night a 8 pm my breaks were going out aand thank god i pulled over at joeys. he took care of my brakes so i could get down to sd that night. joeys is the man for your ride. thanks joey your the MAN !
