Horrible Service, Bad Quality tailor. I brought my 600 dollar dress to be tailored. They left a hole in the dress and broke the zipper, but will not admit it. They did a poor job tailoring the dress, when I asked them to fix it, they started yelling and giving me a major attitude. If I am paying big bucks to get my dress tailored, should they fix it until I am happy?

Great Quality Tailor!. For the past four years I’ve searched for a quality tailor with experience and knowledge in the art of tailoring. Believe me I have dealt with lots of tailors as far away as Hollywood and other parts of the L.A County, but with no luck. The first time I dealt with Art, from Art’s Tailoring and Fashions for Men in Brea California, I realized that I had finally found the tailor that I had been looking for the past 4 years. To this date I’ve been a loyal customer and I highly recommend him to people who like quality precision tailoring.

Food stain on clothes, horrible service. A first time customer at Art's, I dropped off two pairs of pants to be hemmed. The owner was grouchy at first but I assumed it was just part of his persona, like a grumpy uncle who, underneath it all, has a heart of gold. The shop looked nice enough.

I picked up my hemmed pants, brought them home, and discovered some sort of food (chocolate? refried beans? I didn't care to figure it out) smeared on one of the pant legs. These were brand-new pants, straight from the store, with the tags still on. The stain was new, and, since it was located two inches away from the hem, there was no way they would have missed it if it had been there when I first brought in the pants.

To give Art's the chance to do the right thing I went back and showed them the stain. The owner scraped at the food with his fingernail (yuck!), took some of it off and said, "What stain? There's nothing there!" When I told him that one could still see the food stain he got defensive: "What do you want me to do about it?!" I said I thought he should pay for the cleaning and he got abusive and started yelling to try to intimidate me. I remained calm; he got madder. I told him this seemed like a bad business practice to do a poor and dirty job and then yell at the customer; finally in a fit he threw $3 at me to "pay for the cleaning" (which, of course, it wouldn't.)

I left the money and the store and, unfortunately will never go back. If you enjoy poor service and being yelled at by an abusive man go to Art's. But go elsewhere if you would like decent and clean tailoring!

**** AVOID THIS PLACE **** Absolutely horrible service, this place needs to be closed down, period.. The service and quality here is the worst I've ever seen -- to a point where I am seriously in shock that they are still in business. I had the padding in my BRAND NEW suit jacket fixed there and they absolutely destroyed it. I had to go back 3 times to get it fixed and they made it worse and worse every time. They even punctured a HOLE in the sleeve and tried to patch it up without me knowing. I found it while I tried it on and he immediately became ultra-defensive and just kept saying he didn't touch it (obviously lying about it). Now I have a ruined jacket and the worst part is that they will claim NO RESPONSIBILITY for it.

They even had the nerve to YELL at myself and my girlfriend when we were both being WAY too nice for the garbage work they did. Like the others said, the owner is incredibly rude and I repeat, AVOID AT ALL COSTS. The only recommendation I would have is to report them to get them shut down.

save your $ and go to another tailor. I agree with the previous review. I had the exact same problem with quality, and had to have the hem redone. They also quoted the incorrect price, so I had to pay almost double what they originally said. The owner had a "its not my problem, its your problem" attitude towards my complaints I will not go here again. I was very disappointed.
