These guys are crooks – Please, do not make the mistake and do business with this firm. The new owner of this company Adrian Fearman overbilled me $1100 on project. After I realized the error, I tried to contact him multiple times to rectify the billing error. None of my calls were returned. I finally had no choice to pay the $29 fee and put a stop payment on the check.
I was worried about the outstanding check, and lo and behold a week later I get a collections notice from a check cashing company demanding payment for the money that Adrian apparently ran off with. A few days later he finally calls me back and also texts me to tell me that he is going to take care of the money owed. Instead, a few days later I get another call from the collector of the check cashing establishment saying that he has never followed up his false promises by paying them the money owed. The collector is hopping mad because Adrian has lied to her repeatedly to her using many of the standard excuses to delay payment e.g. “the check in the mail”. After speaking with a lawyer friend of mine, I was advised not to fight the check casher, because they would come after me without hesitation. The hassle was not worth it. I was eventually forced to pay the amount stolen by Adrian. This person is truly a terrible individual absent any morals and operates at the same lowly level of a common thief.
Unfortunately the choice of this contractor was not mine, since he was sub-contracted to install cabinetry that I had ordered from another company. I definitely would not have chosen to work with him if I had bid the project from the outset.
Within five minutes of talking with Adrian it is pretty apparent that he fancies himself as a smooth operator that likes to also talk a big game. I always got the sense that he would do anything to pad the bill. Who knew that he would stoop so low as to steal?
If you are even considering doing business with these guys please don’t. I have gone to lengths to try to get this information out there, so that no one else will have to go through what I went through. Businesses like these are not deserving of the opportunity of another customer interaction.
You might want to consider a different cabinet maker – Giuseppe's was hired by my general contractor to replace all of my kitchen cabinets from the ground up. There were two employees with this company. Vic Sr. and Vic Jr. Vic Sr. was a very nice guy and Vic Jr., well....let's just say customer service isn't his gig.
We had the following installed: Pantry doors, pull-out drawers, lazy susan, to the tune of $11,000. The color was nice and at first glance, the kitchen didn't look to bad.
One of the pantry doors, when in the closed position, did not match up with the three other pantry doors where all four corners met. I brought it to Vic Jr.'s attention and said that I did not like the fact that the door did not close all the way. He told me that the wood would eventually and naturally curve toward the opening and it would then match up with the others.
Well guess what Vic Jr.? It's 11 years later and the door looks EXACTLY THE SAME. It was pretty apparent that he did not want to redo the door the first time I asked him about it and I unfortunately gave him the benefit of the doubt. Also, now that time has gone by, all of the wood putty that he stuffed into all the gaps in the crown molding because he didn't miter it correctly have dried up and fell out. It looks like crap!
He also did my Corian countertops. You guessed it! They also cracked. Thank god it happened during the warranty period. When I spoke to Vic Jr. about it, he kissed it off to Corian and said he doesn't do Corian anymore. Well I know why! When the Corian rep came to my house, he told me that the guy who installed the Corian countertop DIDNT DO IT CORRECTLY!
This outfit will gladly take your money, give you a less than acceptable product and will leave you out to dry when you ask them to fix it. Go somewhere else and don't spend your money here. If you live in SoCal and want to come by my house to see, I'll show you! I'm going to hire a guy to fix their screw ups now.
