Watered Down Drinks.
I ordered an Adios which contains five ounces of alcohol. I got a drink with an once and a half of alcohol and a whole lotta Sprite - for $8.50! I watched him make it.
The food was good but it took an hour to get it. Thanks Lakers.
poor service.
do not go when they are busy . the service is very poor ,delays and wrong orders make the evening not enjoyable. The service was so sluggish that our appetizers came 10 minutes after the main course was served. we heard complaints from the neighboring table too.
food ...ok
Excellent American food.
BJ is a classical American restaurant. Both food and service are excellent.
I went there once during weekday, so it is not crowded. We have ordered grilled chicken pasta, pepperoni pizza, and turkey cobb. I love their sundwiches, soup and pasta, but for the pizza, since I don't like thick pizza, I think it is only "social".
Over all, it is still a good restaurant. It is romantic, clean, and quiet. The servers are nice and efficient. Everything is good. I give it four and a half stars!
A chain microbrewery satisfies with comfort-food classics and award-winning beers..
The Scene
BJ's boasts a trendy reclaimed-barn look with vaulted redwood beams. Eclectic touches abound; rococo mirrors sparkle against corrugated-iron walls and the odd chandelier sprouts absentmindedly amidst Art Deco lamps. The bar area boasts beer-label posters and the ubiquitous big-screen TV blaring the big game on ESPN.
The Food
The extensive, carbo-loaded menu is perfect for buffering those home brews. The bruschetta, loaded with tomatoes, is a favorite and the minestrone is stew-thick with a hint of oregano. The fish and chips gives mixed results: wedge-cut fries are seasoned and crispy; but the doughy, Blonde Ale-battered cod flounders without its tartar sauce. The pizzas are deep-dish, robust pies; the Spinach & Artichoke is lusciously creamy. For dessert, try a deep-dish Pizookie. The massive white-chocolate cookie comes studded with macadamias and topped with vanilla bean ice cream.
Good food, but I'm not a regular. The food here is good. They have great pizzas, which is what they specialize in, but I can't say I'm a fan of the whole menu. The service is average and the wait is long when you go on the weekends or at night. It's good, but I only go there when someone else wants to.
What's not to love?. BJs is a delicious land of goodness. Everything from the home-brewed beers to the deep-dish pizza (with super good ingredients) to the pizookie (cookies baked in pans with vanilla bean ice cream on top!) to the sandwiches are phenom. You won't be disappointed.
service ruined the good food. the food was fine, but the service was disappointing. At BJ's, you always have to WAIT. and the wait is not like 15 minutes or 10 minutes it's like 45 minutes +. The restaurant was a bit noisy and the service could have been better.
Incompetent Host. We waited over one hour to be seated when we were quoted 45 minutes. We did not hear an apology or receive any sort of sympathy for this host's mistake. The host was extremely unfriendly as he did not smile or speak to us as if we were customers. He definitely needs some retraining on his job. The host is the FIRST impression of your restaurant. And if you think that this host will provide a good impression, then think again. This experience ruined our meal and you lost me as a customer.
