Gourmet Food Highly Presented with Exceptional Service. I am going to this restaurant for at least 10 years, and I want to assure you - it will satisfy the highest gourmet taste demands and greatest service expectations! Each dish from a menu is beautifully presented, and is cooked by a most skilled Chef available. They serve a variety of freshly baked breads as a complimentary appetizer, and when you leave - there is a tray with complimentary pistacio cookies you can take as a refreshment. Restaurant has beautiful interior, and waiters are old-fashionly polite and wearing uniforms. Some menu items are expensive, some are very affordable. I come over for lunch that costs me only $$11.95 plus tip.
Memories to be made!. The atmosphere is beautiful, service was knowledgable and very helpful with suggestions on meal and wine. Live piano player...very memorable experiance. Try the grand marnier souffle, was my first souffle and I loved it.
Good Food, Indifferent Service. I made a reservation 30 days prior to our Feb 11 anniversary date. Because it was a special occasion I requested "a good table". We arrived on time at were seated in the main dining room. The table was on a corner, in the middle of the room with a view of the door to the kitchen. Additionally, a bright overhead halogen light was shinning directly in our eyes. I then requested a different table. The hostess informed me that the ONLY table available was located in the bar. We were shown to this table and then saw other 2 top tables located in a dining room adjacent to the bar. At the end of diner I informed the GM of what occurred. He said I should have told him about the problem when it occurred since he can not fix it after the fact. How arrogant!
Come here for special occasion only!!!.
Dine here for special occasion only...
remember to tell the host why you dine here.. birthday.. any celebration..
and they will do it well to celebrate with you.
I enjoy the dining experinces because the service is very good, but the food need to improve.
The food is not that creative, just steak and seafood...
But the service does stand out...
Also, the decoration is very classy... very English!!!
Just down the road from Disneyland, this posh oasis of civilization offers elegant martinis and beautifully styled, American haute cuisine..
The Scene
A genteel hunting theme dominates the sprawling space, with paintings of red-jacketed sportsmen and their hounds adorning the walls. A giant stone fireplace flickers merrily near the best seats. Fast, professional servers coddle a well-heeled crowd made up of power diners and grown-up celebrations.
The Food
Mr. Stox's American haute cuisine is handsomely presented and deftly prepared. Velvety smooth lobster bisque, brimming with lobster meat, is rich and creamy. Portobello ravioli, stuffed with fresh mushroom and Parmesan, bathes in subtle, buttery fennel sauce. Veal is tender, if a bit mild, ameliorated by rich truffle reduction and a dazzling side of rosemary mashed potatoes. Skip the lobster tail that's quite bland, though its bed of risotto with fresh spinach is nice. Don't miss the incredible creme brulee with fresh blackberries, raspberries and blueberries; it's big enough for two to share.
