OKAYFood, HORRIBLE SERVICE. BEWARE they close at 10PM, but don't bother going after 8:30PM. Me and my friends walked in at 8:28PM and the lady at the counter said, "you've got 2min to order, otherwise everything will be to go, you can't eat in here..."

And then they charge you tax on stuff that is not even supposed to be taxed (ie. COLD FOOD)

When we finalyy got our order, we were shorted a Tarna Sandwich and the cook had the nerve to claim that we werelying and he had made the correct amount. Well it turned out that we were shorted and they never even apologized.

Stay away. You'll go in for the food, but the service will make you feel like you're eating trash...

OMG Chicken. This place has awesome Chicken Tarna. It is Armenian food with seasoned chicken, hummus, pita bread, and more! My friends took me there 'cause there's only one in Orange County, and I was hooked. I took my fiance there and now he is hooked. When you see the place, you wouldn't think someone would drive 30 minutes to eat there 'cause it's not much to look at, but it's soooo worth it!

Armenian roasted chicken that's finger-licking good.. The Scene
Zankou Chicken isn't much to look at: a narrow slice in an unremarkable strip mall. But the glowing critical accolades it has garnered--blown up, framed and proudly displayed--foreshadow fabulous fare that will quickly make you forget the orange Formica and wood-panel ambience.

The Food
Spit-roasted chicken attracts most of the attention, and deservedly so. Tender, moist and full of flavor, it's rotisserie roasted to crisp perfection. But the rest of the menu easily meets or beats the bird. Soujouk is Armenian beef sausage that takes the term spicy to new heights--not simply hot, it's a marvelous melange of fiery flavors combined with subtler nuances. The tarna sandwich (chunks of spit-roasted chicken slices) is much milder, though no less complex. Then there are the sides--tabbouleh, hummus, zippy stuffed grape leaves and a divinely addictive mutabbal (baba ghanouj).

Go for the food, but not for the ambience. I love the food (stick to the chicken; don't get beef) but the women that work at the front aren't the friendliest. The place is extremely clean; however, they could use some updating with the decor.
