Worst Customer service ever!. Horrible Customer Service! Will not be going back ever! They were way over priced on a stroller I wanted. So I took in a printed price from a web store that they said they would match over the phone. Then they tried to get out of the price match! First, they said they could only match the price if they had the item in both stores, I said no way because I had already called about it twice and they said to go ahead and come into the store. So then, they said that they couldn't sell me the stroller right now because there was a recall, (but only on the color that I wanted) Doesn't that sound strange? I know they were lying, and just trying to get out of matching the price.

I work in a demanding customer service oriented field and wanted to let you know how impressed I have been with each and every interaction I have had with Bergstrom employees.
I live in Glendale, CA and choose to drive down to your store in Irvine rather than shop at any store closer to me, because of the exceptional service I receive.
It took some convincing to get my husband to drive down there to purchase our crib, dresser and recliner (as well as other smaller items) over several trips. I kept explaining to him that it is the nicest, cleanest, best priced and most importantly friendliest and most knowledgeable staff I have found. Now he believes me!
From my first trip in I never have had an employee pass me without saying hello or asking if I needed assistance. The gentlemen that showed a group of us how 5-6 different strollers worked was amazing. The women that have helped me pick out a crib and make sure my choices were not too bold on a recliner fabric have been so sweet and never made me feel like I was taking too much of their time. The managers working upstairs who have assisted them with my sale coupons have always been quick and helpful in interactions. When I called in to the internet phone line to check on stock of my crib the gentlemen that answered the phone was not only fast, knowledgeable but so easy to interact with and friendly. When I have emailed to make changes to my registry or called in with questions everything has been done immediately and correctly.
Recently I had a product quality issue and emailed in my issue to the general email address. I was certainly not expecting the above and beyond response that I received. Then when I was called timely in a follow up call and asked for a "favor" it was not only received as a great idea but put into action immediately. I was amazed at how every time you are able to exceed my expectations. You have great employees working for you and not only do they exceed my expectations but I watch them interact in the store and they seem to have a lot of fun amongst the group. It's great to see.
Thank you for being in business so I can do all my major purchases with you even if it means driving that extra distance. I have not been able to find a store around Los Angeles that provides me with the similar service, quality and price that yours does.

WORST customer service!!. This store was a shock! Really bad customer service; NO knowledge of their products (and if you're spending hundreds of dollars on a stroller, someone ought to be able to tell you how to fold it); they said they had something in stock, showed it to us (which was something they obviously didn't want to do, but we wanted to see the $100 item before we bought it!) and then sold it to the person in front of us (erroneously as the people were getting the item in the set they were already buying!!); their merchandise system is convoluted; and, once more, rude manager! Thank heavens for amazon.
Pleasantly Surprised. After reading reviews on here we were wary about buying our stroller from Berstrom. But since they were the only people to carry the brand we wanted we didn't have much choice. We deliberately choose one in stock so we were nervous when the stroller had faults (not Bergstrom's fault) and I needed to call them about exchanging it. Although their exchange policy is short (within 14 days) they were very helpful about exchanging the stroller without question. I spoke to several managers and was impressed by their service.
Buyer beware. Use it and your stuck!.
Read their return policy very carefully!! It basically says that if you open the box and use whatever you buy, that's it. No return on "trials and exchanges". They never communicated this policy while shopping in the store, nor did they before we completed the purchase with the cash register. It was only after the purchase did they staple their stupid policy slip to the receipt did we realize what was going on!
Take my word for it, go spend your baby money somewhere else!! At least you have a chance of getting your money back if your not satisfied!! I wish I could select ZERO stars!!

Do NOT buy your baby/child furniture from this place. This place has awful customer service. I wish I would've known this before I purchased my expensive furniture from them. Their sales staff will tell you anything to sell you furniture like - "we'll have the furniture delivered to your home within 10 weeks". Which is total BS. After 10 weeks rolls by, they'll say "it's not in our control", "I don't know". Go anywhere but here. IMO, if you're having a baby this is the WORST place to buy your baby gear. They are AWFUL, RUDE, and UNRELIABLE!!
Bergstrom's is a RIPOFF. Bergstroms is the biggest rip-off in the world. They treat their employees poorly, do false advertising, and have horrible customer service. They DO NOT TAKE RETURNS BACK - no matter what their "policy" states. I purchased a baby stroller and after only a week I wanted to return it b/c it was too heavy, they wouldn't take it back and flat out refused to give me my money back. I filed a complaint with the bett bus bureau and noticed they have a "D" rating (I guess I know why). This was a family business that has been ruined by the current manager...way to drag the family name through the mud! BUYER BEWARE
DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!!!!. I have no idea how a customer service based organization can treat their customers this way!!! This store has the most horrendous customer service I have ever seen. And what?s worse, the management doesn?t even care!!! When I bought my issues with delivery to their attention they were not at all willing to accomidate. I will never walk into another Bergstrom?s store again and I will advise every one I know not to ever shop with them. STAY AWAY!!!!
poor customer service. I ordered a Stanley Crib & Changing station over 14 weeks ago & still do not have my furniture! I have constantly had to call the store for updates. Nobody has taken the time to call me & let me know what to expect. Even worse, they have the furniture, but are not delivering it to me! I paid for everything in full, I feel ripped off! Buyer Beware!!!!
managers useless, experience reprehensible. how is it that a business with all bad reviews is showing 4 stars? i have never dealt with ilk of imbeciles that exist at bergstrom's children's stores. i had been warned by friends of the level of indifference and incompetence there and i strongly regret not heeding the warning. i strongly discourage ANYONE from doing any business what so ever with that establishment and do your self a favor, avoid the careless, rude staff at all costs. the run around you get will make you dizzy! i don't know how anyone could possibly stay in business running it the way they do. hopefully they won't be around for long. it would take them that long to sort out the ridiculous mess they made and you'll be the one making all the phone calls!!!
