always a decent meal. i use to go to el pollo loco 3 times a week when i lived on the other side of town. i hadnt been for about 3 months because of the drive, but there really is no competion for el pollo loco in the OC. i have been starving myself , but from now on the drive will be worth it.

This restaurant's first roadside chicken stand opened up in Guasave, Mexico in 1975. A family-inspired recipe of chicken marinated in herbs, spices and citrus juices was an overnight success and the Mexican chain opened its first American location in Los Angeles in 1980. Ever since, customers have been devouring the house specialty--zesty flame-grilled chicken served with tortillas and fresh salsa.
