Best Carne Asada in Town

I have been eating at Jalapenos since 1996, and minus the one dollar increase in the price of burritos, the place hasn't changed. And it shouldn't. It's the best casual burrito you can get in Orange County. Every time I come back to visit, Jalapenos is the first stop on my list.

• Pros: Carne asada, chips and salsa
• Cons: Overpriced by one dollar

great food; cashiers, not so much

I'm not Mexican, but Mexican is my favorite food. Jalapenos is one of the best. I particularly like the carne asada or shredded beef taco combo plates. Salsa is a little different, but the best.

Cons - Little pricey, and cashiers always seem to have an attitude or something.

Great cheap Mexican food

If you want great, inexpensive Mexican food and don't care about atmosphere, this is the place to go. You stand on line to order your food, put your number on the table where you are waiting, and it arrives quickly, hot, and delicious. We often get it to go, only because of the lack of atmosphere/ambience. Everything we've ordered is delicious, and very authentic Mexican food.

• Pros: inexpensive, great food
• Cons: ambience, parking
