In 1982, businessman Doug Cavanaugh opened the first Ruby's in Southern California's Newport Beach, naming it after his mother. Today, this nationwide chain--adorned with red vinyl booths, Formica tables, soda fountains and retro posters--features the same timeless food and hospitality that keep diners coming back. Favorites are the classic burgers topped with secret RubySauce, fries and sweet shakes. Other staples include pancakes, omelettes, sandwiches, chili, salads and a variety of fountain treats.

Great Place to eat FINGER FOOD & Burger. My husband and I just had a Kobe burger w/ fringers (fries & onion rings).

OMG!!!! It was the BEST food ever !!! I guess we missed out alot.

The staff was really friendly and the atmosphere was cute and danddy. we LOVED it!!!

I would DEFINITELY Recommand this place if you want a classic American food! yum!

FUN FIFTIES STYLE DINER. WE HAVE BEEN TO RUBYS MANY TIMES.ALWAYS GOOD BURGERS.LOVE THE REAL CHERRY OR VANILLA COKES.THEY ADD EACH TO YOUR COKE.OR TRY A REAL ICE CREAM SHAKE OR MALT.BURGERS ARE GOOD BUT GREASY/MESSY.THE DOWN SIDE TO RUBYS IS THE PRICE.A COUPLE OF BURGER LUNCHES AND YOU WILL SPEND ABOUT THIRTY BUCKS.

Yummy!. So good! Friendly staff and yummy food great for the whole family! Always look forward to the shakes (especially the Pumpkin ones at Thanksgiving!) and the burgers are the best!

Rubys @ the Beach. Pleasant atmosphere surrounding the beach. Busy in the evenings but best in the morninigs! Where its regular crowd are off to work, you pretty much have the whole to yourself!! From the rustle and bustle of the evening weekends to the quiet undisturbing mornings; wake up early and bring your special somebody and enjoy the peaceful pacific ocean to yourselves.
