Raw Foodist: This is "The Best Raw Food," I have ever had! One Word WOW!!!
by solarhippo
I have eaten at raw food restaurants all over the country. I have eaten raw food for 3 years, and have been 100% raw for months on end. I have been to raw food retreats and I must say, and it's hard to do this, this is the best raw restaurant I've ever been to.
Ito is the Manager and hasn't spoken in 7 years, he pulled me and a friend aside and brought us to the bar to give us all sorts of herbal mixtures and juices, he did it for free. He reminds me of Eckhart Tolle, you have to find him in the restaurant when you come in, he will be the person that is not speaking.
I even met the most amazing girl I have ever dated in Au-Lac. So if your vegetarian, vegan, or raw, you must go to Au -Lac.
My favorite dishes:
Raw Curry Rice, Green Pyramid, Raw Soft Tacos, and Sweet and Sour Chicken
Enjoy!
- Pros: Best food, relaxing enviroment, juices and raw and cooked vegan food
- Cons: It's not closer to my house and they are closed on Mondays.
AMAZING FOOD :0)

This is hands down my favorite restaurant. I could eat here every day and never get bored with the food. Their RAW menu is really good, my favorites being the raw tacos, the raw paella, da bowl, the primavera, the green pyramid, and for dessert the chai pie or the choconut x-tasy. If you are not big on the raw food then the other menu (vegetarian) is also really good. I would suggest the yang chow fried rice, hot and sour soup (yummy), and the "beef" with broccoli. Also my favorite drink is the kombucha. This restaurant makes food that makes your body and soul happy. Ito is an amazing person (he made the menu), and his good energy radiates throughout the place. Just thinking about Au Lac makes me hungry and happy.......:0) You will leave full and with a smile on your face..........but you wont have that gross stuffed feeling.
- Pros: great energy and good people, fresh and light food, ITO :0)
- Cons: vegetarian "seafood" dishes, Durian
Worth the drive.

This is actually like two restaurants in one. There is a vegan menu and a Vietnamese menu. I've tried one thing on the vegan menu and it was tollerably good, but in our party of nine I was the only one who thought so. There seems to be a loyal vegan crowd so maybe we just selected the wrong thing. The other menu is all vegetarian and Vietnamese/Chinese. Every time I have been to this restaurant there is a scarcity of this menu. One time we only received the vegan menu and had to wait 5 minutes for someone to finish with theirs! Expect only one V/C menu per table. Why they don't just print a few more is a mystery. Anyway everything is very good, especially the claypot fish (which is heavy on the salt and pepper), and spring rolls. The menu is large and has many photos. I've never had anything I didn't like from the V/C menu and I've tried more than a dozen times so far.
- Pros: food
- Cons: shortage of menus
