Real Dive Bar!. I went to The Fling after a holiday party last friday. Between the dancing and live band playing classic rock, I don't know what I liked better! No trashy 21 y/o place this is. Real adults only!!

Great, Respectable Bartenders who put up with a lot of stupid drunks. In response to the "assault" victim.

I was sitting right there when this guy got "sprayed" the man got a small amount of water on hi pants and was beligerently drunk, I could barely understand him while he was yelling at the bartender, who surprisingly graciously let the guy throwing his beer on him and let it go, he even offered to buy him a drink before realizing how drunk he was when he started stum,bling over and had to cut him off for the evening. It was not until the guy repeatedly kept coming over to the bartender and threatening the bartender that he said he should probably go and sober up and come back another time. This mans friend did go and talk to the bartender and appoligized for the way his friend was acting and was embarrassed and I watched him repeatedly tell his friend to calm down and leave the bar. And the cocktail waitress only appoligized to the man because she was trying to explain to him that it was her fault he accidently got sprayed, and to relax so he doesn't get kicked out, then she became sick of the man's crazy rantings with different accusations every time, that she even told him he had to leave. I have a lot of respect for the bartender for having to BABYSIT the drunk ignorant patrons, like this man so obviously was, who is he to say someone needs a fatherly talk if he was the one who could barely stand and act like a 5 year old child in the manner he did, and to have your friend appoligized for the embarrassing way he was acting is even more proof that the man was simply unable to handle his alcohol and act like a grown up

Assaulted by Bartender. I was enjoying my time and the music when suddenly I looked up to get shot in the eyes with a pressurized liquid from the bartender. Evidently, he was playing with the waitress when the spray was directed and sprayed me directly in the eyes. I expressed my frustration and the bartender said to me.... "F'n relax, it was water", I told him that this was only beer and splashed him with beer and he tried to kick me out. I now have an assualt case pending on the bartender. I refused to leave, the waitress came to tell me that we cannot throw beer in the bar and I explained that in what way is it ok to spray a customer directly in his eyes with an unknown substance. She calmed the bartender down, like it was all my fault, and then later when my friend tried to explain the situation to him, the bartender told him to buzz off and dont talk to him if I was going to trip like that with water.....this was a younger man in his 20's. and he places his bar and his customer in danger when he treats his customers like this as i was very mad and wanted to drag the little punk out by his ears and give him the spanking his father never did. He is a huge liability to the owners and I would tread lightly around this bar.

Good drinks, fun music. I have been a local for 15 years and never made it in to this establishment. I guess they just got busted for the smoking thing, so all smoking is now outside. I had fun people watching, from the regulars to the groups of people just having fun. Fun late night stop and best of all a Del Taco in the same parking lot!!

Had a great time here (thanks to my friend Carrie who talked me into going there!!)

There is only one word to describe Fling...Unique. Unique...and fun. Don't go to Fling if you are looking to meet someone, but if you have a group and want to see some interesting people and an interesting singer (Eddie Day Chiavarini) and don't mind smoke, then this is the place for you.
