Mindy Is Amazing. Jaclyn's Bridal is a breath of fresh air. I am a wedding planner in Orange County and after several of my clients had a great experience with Jaclyn's I refereed my very own sister there after becoming engaged in 2008. She fell in love with the very first dress she tried on. There was NO RUSH and NO Pressure to buy the same day unlike other bridal stores. So when I myself became engaged the following year I also purchased my gown from Jaclyn's Bridal. Mindy the owner even let me special order my gown since she did not cary the particular style I wanted at no additional cost. I had nothing but the very best treatment and since then have referred all my brides looking for beautiful gowns at exceptional prices.

Disappointing service. I showed up an hour before my appointment time, and offered to come back on time, but the staff insisted they were not busy and would help me. However, the lady who was helping us was not helpful at all. While browsing the dresses, I found a couple to try on, and the sales lady was no where in sight. My friend had to carry the dresses to the dressing room for me. Then, when I was ready to try them on, I stood around for 10 minutes waiting for the saleswoman to help me into the dress. Finally, my friend decided to help me. After I got into the first one, the saleswoman remarked to her colleague, "look they are trying on dresses by themselves." She did not help me to cinch the dresses in the back, or help me in and out of any of the dresses. I tried on a few and left. I would advise brides to be to avoid this shop, as there are many bridal shops in the area with better service and selection.

BRIDES BEWARE!. I went to Jaclyn?s Bridal to have my wedding gown altered & pressed. They promised to finish one week before my wedding, but my gown wasn?t ready until 2 days before the wedding! They didn't even offer to deliver.

Once we finally had the gown, we found it was terribly wrinkled, and the veil was all tangled in the beading of the gown! Some requested repairs hadn't been made! I felt hopeless with no time to make Jaclyn's Bridal fix their mistakes. There was no time to take it back when the rehearsal and festivities were to begin the next morning!

The most baffling part is that they permanently sewed the bustles through all layers of the gown! How could a professional bridal shop try to get away with sewing permanent bustles!? The whole point of the bustles is so the bride can walk down the isle with the train flat behind her, and tie up the bustle for the reception. Because of Jaclyn?s Bridal, I almost had to walk down the aisle wearing my $3,000 gown in the bustled position! My Mom ended up removing Jaclyn's Bridal's permanent bustles (which were also uneven!) and sewed new tie-up bustles.

At a fitting, I requested a fix of kinks in the hemline. They never did it! My family tried to fix it with steam and an iron and found the cause of the kinks was sloppy stitching. So my Mom also re-stitched the hemline and found that the bottom of the gown was dirty! What did Jaclyn's Bridal do to my gown to make it so dirty?!

The worst part is that my friends and family spent many late hours working on the gown on the two nights before the wedding. I had organized everything so they wouldn't have to do any work and just enjoy the pre-wedding events. Instead they were overworked, and it's all Jaclyn's Bridal's fault.

Nothing can give back what my family lost because of Jaclyn?s Bridal?s mistakes. When I requested a full refund of $550, they refused. By sharing my story, I hope to prevent other brides from getting into a similar mess by hiring Jaclyn's Bridal.

Great Experience at Jaclyn's Bridal!. I bought my dress at Jaclyn's Bridal. I appreciated the selection of less traditional dresses there. I didn't want a princess style, strapless ball gown and they had more options for me there than the other places I visited. It's a small shop and the selection felt hand-picked, which I liked. The owner Mindy really knows her stuff! She's extremely knowledgeable about alterations and what to do to a dress to make it work for your body. She wasn't pushy and she has excellent taste. She suggested jewelry and veil options that I loved. I ended up buying my jewelry there too, which I wouldn't have expected to do. She also added lace to my gown that was left over from a designer dress to help hide some cleavage. For one of my fittings, the dress wasn't ready so that was my only negative experience. But, to make up for it, Mindy added a beautiful train for free. She apologized and continued to give me great customer service and that made up for it. I appreciated that she didn't just make some lame excuse. The shop is priced mid-range for Southern California. I highly recommend Jaclyn's Bridal!
