decent food; slow service. I have been to Burrell's several times and each time, the food is ok but the service is slow. I met some friends for lunch and they ordered only 2 minutes before me but they were all done eating by the time my food was ready. I ordered the baby back ribs w/ dirty rice. The rice was way too salty, and I am a person that enjoys salty. The sauce is flavorful but the meat was bland and fatty. I like the pickles served with each dish.

BEST HOLE IN THE WALL BBQ IN OC. Imagine you're favorite uncle cooks the best BBQ in Orange County and he invited you to luch. Burrell's combines southern comfort food, customer service you'd expect at an old friends house, and a beautiful skylight room.

This is a shock for new comers. It's in a converted house in the middle of an old Santa Ana neiborhood - you eat in the backyard! Need I say more?

The lack of ambiance is what makes Burrell's the best Hole-in-the-wall in OC hands down - but thumbs up!

best dirty rice!. being born and raised in santa ana, i've been going to burrels all my life. great food, better service. you will always be treated like a regular. try the dirty rice!
