My vote goes to those flynn boys. First of all, I am from the old school. We never had these sites to sit and cry over spilled milk. Everyone is human, and everyone is entitled to make a mistake. With that in thought, it is my opinion that some of these reviews should be revised or just deleted. I would bet my last dollar, that is those people would just tough it out, and call Orange Coast Plumbing with what is bothering them, there would be a good change things would work out fine. I have been using Orange Coast Plumbing for almost 30 years. Both at my restaurant, as well as my home. Yes, there have been times that I felt something should have been completed differently, and even went as far as hiring another company. What a fool I was. I am back to using Orange Coast Plumbing and the way I feel is; They do not tell me how to cook, and I do not avised them how to correct my plumbing issues. We get along Great :)

Great all around service. Have used for large and small jobs. Always great servies. this last and recent visit was no exception. The young man took his time and went out of his way to do the job right. I have experience doing plumbing work (can't anymore) and appreciate the skill and materials used.

Quick Emergency Plumbing. I woke up and water was dripping thru my ceiling. What a disaster. Even though it was Sunday - I called and a technician called me back in less than 10 minutes and came out in less than a hour. He was able to fix my problem at what I considered to be a fair price since it was Sunday. He was very polite, explained all of my options and did not make a mess. I have recomended this company and will continue to call them

MY "GO TO" PLUMBER. I really love this plumbing company. The technicians are friendly clean and take of the problem the first time.

The people in the office are friendly and go the extra mile - They take the time to call and let you know that the plumber is on the way so you don't have to sit around all day waiting and then they call and follow up to see how the service was after the plumber has left.

I would not hesitate to recommend this company - as a matter of fact I have

Professional AC installation. When my air condtioning suddenly went out last weekend, i called and i was really suprised that not only was I able to get someone to come out, but Jeff was able to replace the condensor right away. I was really amazed at the fast effecient service that i received

DO NOT USE. THEY CHARGED ME 50% UP FRONT BEFORE THEY DID THE WORK AND WE ALL KNOW THAT IS ILLEGAL. THEY NEVER COMPLETED THE WORK AND THE WORK THEY DID DO WAS BAD. tHEY ARE DOING WORK THAT THEY ARE NOT CLASSIFIED FOR AND RARELY DRAW CITY PERMITS THAT CERTAIN WORK REQUIRES THEM TO DO SO. STAY AWAY FROM THEM, THE OWNERS JUST WANT TO MAKE A QUICK BUCK AT YOUR EXPENSE. THERE ARE MANY MANY MORE REPUTABLE PLUMBING CONTRACTORS OUT THERE TO USE . DO NOT USE ORANGE COAST PLUMBING.

Upfront honest plumber. I had a leak coming thru my ceiling and called to get help - the plumber told me what needed to be done and we signed the contract and he was able to get everything taken care of the same day.

He was neat friendly and polite. I will be callling again

The issue did eventually get resolved. 04/25/2010 (follow up)

I'm writing a follow-up to this review to be fair. I've re-named the title, upped the star rating from 2 to 3, changed the pros/cons and removed the name of the plumber. I was upset at the time and I really shouldn't have named the plumber like that.

Here's what ended up happening. They did finally call me back and scheduled a meeting with the manager. Both the manager and the plumber came out to my place and after I explained the situation, I was refunded $361 or 1/2 of the cost of day-3 which we verbally agreed and I think that was an acceptable gesture.

The next week, they sent the same plumber out to fix the leaks I was having (which by now was no only the toilet fill valve but also the angle stop. Unfortunately, neither of those repairs worked. You can't really tell right away with leaks. They sometimes take a while to re-appear.

At this point, I was ready to just leave this review out here and fix the issue myself. However, to my pleasant surprise, the dispatcher called to see how everything went. I told her and she said that she would send someone back out again. I said only if it's someone else. So they sent the guy who came out to do my area drains back around Jan 2010 and did a really good job. By then, I had both toilet angle valves leaking and the toilet fill valve was still leaking. He replaced all three of those items and all the leaks were finally resolved. Ok well, there was 1 small issue.

The flex hose plastic nut to toilet fill valve had two flange which protruded so that it's easier to tighten the nut with your hands. The protrusion was just enough (about 1 mm too far) to rub against the toilet bowl so that at some point, you can't properly tighten this nut. It was a minor issue. I just took the flex hose out and sawed off the extra plastic. No more leaks finally!

I usually don't like writing reviews like and at the time, I was rather upset. I really don't want people to lose their jobs over stuff like this because to me that's not a win/win. I would rather that corrective action be taken to both address the customer's issues (which they did) and to just have a talk with the guy to let him know how to do it better next time.

I'm increasing my rating because of the following 3 reasons.

1. The manager personally came out to my house to address the issue and refunded me money.

2. The dispatcher calling me after the first re-visit to fix the leaks was a nice surprise since I had already given up on them.

3. They came out as often as needed until my issues were all resolved. In this case, they had to come out 2 more times. They didn't really have to since I wasn't exactly a "large account" or a big customer but they did and I appreciate that.

Plugged Bathtub Drain. Had a plugged bathtub drain. Plumber came out and snaked it and got it draining but it was very slow. Said that he would not guarantee it because something was solid in the line????? Yet it said that he broke up whatever was in the drain. Two days later, same thing. Bathtub stopped draining. Called another service they came out... Snaked it again and it is working better than ever. Called Orange Coast telling them about the problem and asking for at least a partial refund since obviously there is nothing solid in the line. They said that they would get back to us. Never heard from them again. Won't be recommending this company. Superior Plumbing gets my vote

Joey Is Great Plumber. I cannot sy enough positive things about Joey who works for Orange Coast Plumbing. He came to my house to fix a shower valve. He was very polite, very friendly and took time and explained to me what eeded to be done. He fixed the problem right the first time and was very careful inside my house. I have expensive light blue carpet and when I asked that he be careful, he told me that he had booties that he could wear to protect my carpet. i was impressed. After he finished the job, someone from the office called to make sure that everything had been taken care of - talk about Great customer service - Most companies do not take the time to do that anymore. I will recommend this vcompany and Joey in particular as a great company to use.
