New management/ awesome service & very clean!. I don't know what the fuss is about. I was just in there last week with a friend and got a great deal on 2 spray tans for $40. We were hesitant at first to check it out since a friend of ours that use to go there said she stopped tanning there months ago because of some guy that use to manage the salon and from the reviews on here but we figured we'd check it out. When we walked in, there were two older girls working there, one being the new manager who was really nice. The girls that were working were so extremely knowledgeable on tanning that you would think they were majoring in school for it. She even gave my friend a $25 package for joining some text club and all she had to do was pay the tax. We asked about the tax and they said it was a bill Obama passed and that they were trying to fight it. Oh well. Rather pay $2.50 than $25. The place smelled very clean, service was stellar, and my spray tan turned out amazing! Very hard to believe any of these reviews from my experience. Glad we took our chances.
A scam and the dumbest employees ever!. It is a shame I have to rate this even one star. I got a $25 coupon on FB so I went here even though I normally go elsewhere. First I called and asked the cost of a spray tan and she said $10. Score! I figured it would be more than my coupon. First thing I said when I walk in is "Hi, I haven't been here before and I would like to spray tan. I would like to use this coupon I have." She enters me info, calls for help to use the coupon then says I need to pay a $2.50 tan tax. Seems stupid as I am spray tanning but fine. She cannot figure out how to pay change for a $20 so I use my ATM card instead. Then she asks what level. I chose and she says "the only way you can tan today is if you buy another package." I respond, "another? I don't want a package. I didn't buy one to begin with?" She explains that you can only buy packages in $25 increments and apply that to the cost of the tan, $38. I ask to simply pay the different from the coupon to tan but am told this is not allowed and the only way is to pay $25 more which would then give me a surplus of money on my account. Then the next time, I would have to buy another package, more surplus, you see how they do this. Obviously this business is a scam since they do it this way. She also quoted me a completely innacurate price on the phone. Secondly, Katie, who was there, is as dumb as a door knob. I literally felt dumber just walking out of there. I made her refund my $2.50 which she again had to call someone for help with and made rude comments to the person on the phone regarding the small refund. I could care less about the money, I simply wanted to watch her squirm at this point, plus those robbers weren't getting a cent of mine. Moral of the story, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY OR TIME! I would rather pay the $35 I pay at my other place and not lose 20 mins of my day on sheer stupidity.
FUNGUS FROM TANNING BEDS. I started tanning at Darque Tan a couple months ago, and after about the first month, I noticed little white spots all over my body. The staff told me to use lotions and I did, and the spots did not go away. Finally I went to see a doctor and he told me that the white spots were FUNGUS from the tanning beds not being cleaned properly. Furthermore, the medication for it is not covered by insurance and is over $60 per bottle. I contacted Darque Tan customer service and asked them to kindly refund me for the tans, at which point the rep told me that white spots are NORMAL, and that everyone gets them. I told them they are not normal and I would fax the information from my doctor and they continued to tell me the spots are not their fault. I have tanned for over 5 years and have never had any issue with fungus from tanning beds. They still have yet to refund me anything and the issue is still unresolved. So, beware- apparently Darque Tan thinks fungus from tanning is normal. If you do not want "normal fungus" I would advise you tan elsewhere.

BE CAREFUL TO MAKE SURE YOUR BED IS THOROUGHLY CLEANED-IF THE PERSON BEFORE YOU USED TINGLER AND IT WAS NOT PROPERLY/THOROUGHLY CLEANED YOU WILL EXPERIENCE BURNING AND TINGLING. GROSS
Needs to be cleaned better and more regularly and the beds don't have music-just very loud speakers in the hallway that make you go deaf for a second when you walk by them
