Love the new salon!! We have been going to Rainbow Kids for 2 years and were happy that they had not closed, just moved. They are by the Toys R Us now which worked great for us cause we were going to a birthday party and needed to buy a present anyway.

The new salon is alittle smaller, but very cute and the staff seems happy there. My daughter was alittle reluctant to get in the chair until she was told she could watch a princess movie while her hair was done, she then hopped right up. My 8-1/2 year old son thought he might be getting to big for Rainbow til he found out he could play a video game, he even had his hair shampooed for the first time at a salon and liked it. Both kids looked great and ready for the party. Next time I would call for a appointment, there was a bit of a wait, but it was worth it.

Avoid for special events. We usually go to the Rainbow Kids in Irvine, but my daughter is a flower girl in a wedding on a Sunday, and they're closed on Sundays. So, I scheduled an appointment at this Westminster location a couple weeks in advance.

Good thing I called to confirm -- came to discover that they've decided that they're going to be closed this Sunday! According to them, they tried to contact me, but I doubt it (either that, or they wrote down my number wrong). Imagine if I hadn't called... We would have gone on Sunday and been out of luck!

I am livid, and will never bring my business to this location. Poor business practice to cancel a day when appointments have already been scheduled. This business decision should have been made much earlier.

If you plan to have your child's hair done for a special event, don't rely on this location to serve your needs. I would recommend taking your business elsewhere.
