Groomingdales in RSM is the worst ever.
THEY ARE THE WORST
I took my beautiful pooch over there, and when I returned to pick him up I couldn't believe my eyes.
I was so upset and asked rosie about it, she said she is willing to fix it but I have to pay $60. . . because she has to pay her groomers.
I will never ever go near that salon. . .Rosie is so rude and unprofessional and she does not know anything about customer service. she was screaming and yelling at me.
This was my worst experience ever.
Love it!.
I take my chihuahua Skittles to Groomingdales to get groomed, and yes I know I could easily wash him myself but he never smells as good and is a wiggleworm!
I have taken him to previous groomers but he was always sent home because he would bite when they would go anywhere near his feet.I was told by a friend about Groomingdales and I figured it was worth a try.I informed them that he bites and they were more than willing to give it a try. When i came to pick him up not only were is nails clipped but they also gave me training tips to get him used to his feet being touched..To this day he has not bit anyone since!
Best Grooming Salon Ever!.
Perfect location, right next to Starbucks and Ralph's. I drop off my dog, grab a coffee and do my grocery shopping. By the time i load up my car, my cell phone rings and I pick him up and head home. I love the convenience!
The people were very professional and my dog's cut was the best he has ever had. Loved the aloe conditioner.
Saved my dog's life. Rosie and crew... I brought Layla, my 9 yr old golden retriever in 2 weeks ago. Though I baby my Layla, combing her often, I failed to notice a new lump on her neck. Thank you for your professional care and for taking the extra time to notice and notify me right away of this serious discovery. Though I have not got the results back on her biopsy, you may have saved her life and for that I am forever gratetful. I will recommend Groomingdales to everyone I meet!
I love Groomingdales. I have worked with a lot of groomers over the years. Standard poodles are difficult to groom and most groomers screw up their heads, tails, and legs. Groomingdales does just a great job with my dogs. They listen to my requests, are competitively priced, and my dogs don't have to sit in a cage all day waiting for their turn. I am so glad I found you guys. Thanks for the great work you do.
The WHOLE story.
I'm writing this in response to the review stating that we were negligent in the care of a dog brought to us for grooming. It is unfortunate that people can go online and write anything - whether it is truthful or not.
The whole story is this: Chanel was brought to us for grooming (for the 3rd time) and while the groomer was finishing her trim she noticed that she was blinking excessively. She rinsed her eyes out and it seemed to help the problem. The Mom was called for pick up several times, but her voice mail was full. Finally we called the home number and left a message there. Several hours later the Dad showed up and we told him about the excessive blinking.
Later that day, the Mom came into our shop and immediately begin accusing us of purposely injuring her dog. She used foul language and refused to talk to Rosie (who is one of the owners and hispanic) and demanded to speak to the "white" owner. Finally the police had to be called to remove her from our premises.
Although we don't know that Channel actually got "soap in her eyes" we did realize that something was wrong. Our shampoo is hypoallergenic and tearless, and had been used on Channel's previous visits so we were at a loss how or why she had a reaction on this visit.
Still, we offered to pay for the vet expenses (around $350), but again the Mom was verbally abusive and made outrageous demands ($15,000.00 for pain and suffering).
Yes, we went to small claims court, and in our eyes we won - since we offered to pay for the vet bills in mediation (which they refused) and then the judge decided that the vet bills were all we should pay (he did NOT say we were negligent).
Ofcourse we deeply regret that Channel had any discomfort; we do everything to ensure that our dogs are handled with love and the utmost care. All grooming is done in plain sight, and dogs can be picked up immediately.
Should anyone ever have a concern, we are more than happy to answer your questions. We are firmly committed to providing a safe, caring environment for the dogs we groom.

My family and I recently won a small claims suit against Groomingdale's Salon, Rancho Santa Margarita.
About 1 year ago, my uncle took our 2 year old miniature schnauzer, Chanel, for a grooming with Groomingdale's at 10am on a weekday. That day, my uncle dropped off a healthy dog with no previous eye conditions and was returned our baby several hours later with severe corneal ulcers on her eyes, as diagnosed by her vet at (the wonderful:) Foothill Animal Hospital.
When my family went to inquire about how this happened, they explained that they had gotten shampoo in her eyes, attempted to rinse them out, continued to groom her even though she continued blinking excessively, and put her in a crate by herself for hours before they called my uncle to retrieve her.
According to our research on corneal ulcers and how they occur in dogs, we were able to deduce that the injuries were a result of Chanel being allowed to scratch at her irritated eyes for several hours without supervision. There was no phone call or other action taken to ensure her safety according to our phone records and knowledge of what happened that day.
We took this evidence to a judge, who agreed that the Groomingdale's staff was in fact negligent.
Although this is hearsay, my mother was told by our next door neighbors that their min schnauzer also returned from his first visit to this salon with a cut on his leg and that the salon refused to accept any responsibility for it.
Everyone told us that we needed to let this case go a long time ago, that it wasn't worth our time because our Chanel has (thankfully) made a full recovery. But now that our baby is taken care of, that leaves us with more time to campaign for the safety of other pets in our community. I am a member of Barks of Love Animal Rescue and a donating member of the Humane Society of the United States. Although dogs are legally considered property, we should not allow businesses to push us around and abuse our property.
In my opinion, this type of negligent business has NO PLACE in our community.
Rosy and her staff are the best!. Our family has been very glad that Groomingdales opened up in RSM. We have two beautiful goldens, Max and Brutis. Last year we also rescued a very scruffy maltese/poodle mix we named Cleo. We had never used a groomer in this area before, so I did a little research and ran across their website. I was impressed with the clean, open look of their shop; and that they actually schedule appointments, so that Cleo would not have to be gone all day (shes very anxious and skittish). On our first visit, I was introduced to Chris (who was to be her groomer), and she was a doll! She explained to me about "matts" and the proper brushes and combs that I would need to use for Cleos coat. She was very patient with all of my questions, and I could tell that grooming is her passion. She did a great job with Cleos groom - "scruffy" became "beautiful". Since then we have been going to Groomingdales on a regular basis; I even take our goldens so they can get the "furminator". (This is a GREAT treatment they have to get rid of all the old dead undercoat - it really works!) If you want good service, good haircuts, and friendly people - go to Groomingdales!
I love this company. I have two yorkies that have always been terrified to be groomed. That is, until I started taking them to Groomingdales. Their shop is ultra clean, and the staff is really friendly...but the best thing is they get most of their grooms done in less than 2 hours. At other places I had to leave my babies for the whole day! They also dont try to sell me a bunch of other services - their basic pricing is reasonable and pretty much includes everything; the groom, nail trimming and ear cleaning. Im really happy I found them...and I definately recommened them to all of my friends!
