Wonderful family business. My fiancee and I had a very difficult time picking an engagement ring. Our search took us from Greenwich, CT (too pricey) to NYC (too nuanced) to Los Angeles (too commercial) to Laguna Hills, right here in our backyard. After visiting a number of outdoor shopping mall jewelry outposts, all of which we found to be run by scores of questionable characters who were hawking incredibly kitchy designs, we came upon the proverbial "diamond in the rough" that was Elit Jewelers. Murdoch worked with us for weeks as we designed the perfect ring, a gorgeous and very unique two carat asscher with trapezoidal emerald-cut baguettes. His excellent contacts enabled him to procure beautiful diamonds, and to boot, he gave us a fantastic deal. He is also a certified appraiser, so he took care of that on the spot. I would recommend this family business over and over again, as they are honest, talented, professional folks who really know how to listen to and work hard for their customers.
