BAD EXPERIENCE!. Dear Local Residents,

I live here in San Clemente and wanted to share a terrible experience with you! I will never put money into this owner's pocket and I hope you will feel the same after you read this! This owner/manager in no way reflects the quality independent business owners/managers that we have here in our cute little town!!!!!!

This happened on August 31, 2011 around 5:00pm:

I had a very bad experience with the owner/manager of this location!!!! We walked in and he was reaming a young employee at the cash register. We stood there for the longest uncomfortable, gut wrenching, few minutes. The other employees were so uncomfortable that they wouldn't come near us to take our order as I was standing in front of the guy at the register. The jerk continued to ignore us and kept rudely addressing this girl over and over about the same subject. Finally an employee called out asking if she could help us and he looked at me and said, "I'm sorry, I didn't realize you weren't being helped." I couldn't help my self and told him that I was wondering why he just didn't take the poor girl in the back to reprimand her instead of reaming her in front of customers and her co-workers. He looked at me in anger and told me he didn't feel he was reaming her and that he will talk to his employees any way and anywhere he likes. I told him that I was having major anxiety along with the other employees, so yes, he was in fact ripping into the poor girl. (If I was that child's Mother, that man would have been picking himself off of the floor.) After his nasty comment, I told him that that was great coming from a local business owner and walked out as he yelled behind myself and my 12 and 14 year old daughters, "GOOD RIDDANCE!!!! I have to honestly say that I have never been treated so terrible. My daughters said that they were so proud that I would stick up for that poor girl and that their heart was hurting for her. I am still so shaken by this experience and have contacted Baskin Robbins Corporate. No one deserves this treatment. Please consider indulging your ice cream cravings at another deserving establishment! This was worth my energy in sharing!
