Stopped here for drinks the other night for the first time and had a great experience. Pupu platters were delicious, but the drinks were far and away the reason I'll be back. Everyone has to try their Mai Tai, and if that doesn't end up being dangerous enough for you, whatever you do, don't finish the night with the Navy Grog... I mean, do it, but be prepared.

I've NEVER had such a great time!. PLEASE NOTE: Billy's is NOT closed. They NEVER were closed. Some idiot left a review, incorrectly stating that Billy's was closed. WRONG - They are still open for business and they're still going strong.

A true MUST SEE . . . . . . . . .

Truthfully, all you beach-goers, if you truly want to have a great time while you're in Newport Beach, then Billy's At The Beach is a sure place to visit. I think some of the other reviewers must have been on some bad dope or something, because we love this place. We have been coming here for at least 15 years and we ALWAYS have a great time, everytime. Yeah, the prices are somewhat high, but hey, you'll NEVER find another place like this in the entire Southern California area that makes you feel like you just stepped off the beach at Waikiki. Billy himself always greats us with a huge hug and I can't think of a time when he wasn't there. The Mai Tai's are a MUST. You even get to keep the glass, which I think we now have over 50 of them. Sunday afternoons are the best times to visit, in our opinion. Great live music, awesome atmosphere, cool refreshing tropical drinks, and excellent food. So, put on your best Hawaiian shirt, along with your shorts and flip-flops and head down Billy's At The Beach. Take my word for it, if you don't like it here, then you need to get a life.

Good but pricey. This place is very pricey... It's a good place to go for a drink and appetizer... but, if you want to have dinner - it's expensive. I would rather go somewhere else. They have great bread there! Great atmosphere... they just need to lower the prices for dinner.
