GREAT ATMOSPHERE. Waitresses can be too busy during big games and Sundays when every NFL game shows on a big screen TV. Food an drinks are a decent value. They have special fans with air filters to suck the smoke out of the air, which makes the place much more pleasurable for non-smokers.
Awesome new menu, food and Beer. I went to Newport Beach brewing for the first time in a long time and I was very impressed. The food tasted amazing. I had a chicken pizza and all I can say is Yum Yum.Their beer is always awesome. Nice crowd on Thursday nights. By the way if you have a sweet tooth go for the apple tart. I thought I was in dessert heaven. I highly recommend Newport Beach Brewing Company
Best Brewery in OC hands down!!!!. First, I do not usually write reviews but I feel compelled to do so in this instance. I stumbled across the Newport Beach Brewery through a friend who I was in her wedding and invited me to a rehearsal dinner party the Newport Brewery. I was totally blown away! I loved the beer and the food and service was fantastic! I had the Pelican Pale Ale and wow was it hoppy! I normally drink Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and the Newport Brewery just blew the Sierra Nevada away! To the point, I will never buy Sierra Nevada again! I live in Huntington and have been to the Huntington Brewery and it is just no comparison in quality in beer and service compared to the Newport Brewery. Newport Brewery was and is just a great over all experience and I wanted to share it with others. I travel through out the Western States and eat out too much, so believe you me to impress me is saying something. I have been to Carl Straus, some of the others and the prices were much higher, and the quality was not as good by a large margin. I have been back 6 times since my first visit 4 months ago and have researched NBBC to find out they have won many medals at the Great American Beer Festival whish is a HUGE beer festival I attended in Denver, Colorado. The customers are cute as well that makes it an added bonus!
Awesome place!. This place is a perfect place to hang out with friends and drink good beer. The service is not as bad as the rest of the reviews say. Go to Europe if you really want to understand the meaning of "bad" service.
The best beer in town...or in the whole area for that matter...the food is tasty as well. I stumbled across this place while I was crusing around Newport. I found that there are very few breweries in the So Cal area, and they put out a good effort. The food was tasty, great atmosphere, but the service was slow and I felt ignored. The beer was a good effort, and I was surprised to see a guest tap list (good thing).
Newport Brewing Co.. I love this place! The pizza and blond beer are the absolute best in town. I can not believe how mouth watering their pizza is and the blond beer is smooth. The only reason I do not rate this spot a 10 is because the service is usually slow, the beer glasses are never cold, and the servers are usually pretty rude. But that does not keep me from going back. I just know to expect all of the above when I visit this place. Go there with that in mind and I know anyone would keep coming back.
Best pizza.. Oh my gosh people!! i never new a pub/brewing company could make such great pizza. It like totally melts in my mouth. Of course they beer is always good. The brewery is located not far from the harbor, and such a pretty setting.I have tried other things on the mneu, but nothing comes as close as the pizza. Even a medium looked like a large. The crust was made just the right way, not to hard and not to soft. It's just perfect!!
Home of the Newport Beach Blonde brew, this top local microbrewery and sports bar slings food and drink specials..
In Short
This Balboa Peninsula favorite attracts a spirited, well-to-do local beach crowd and tourists. Formerly a fish market, the decor is decidedly nautical, with a few nods to famed late peninsula resident and avid boater, John Wayne. The medium-sized bar serves brews such as John Wayne Imperial Stout, Wedge Weizen, Lefty's Cream Ale and the brewery's popular Newport Beach Blonde, with 14 brews total. There are multiple sports monitors for game viewing.
Disappointed.
I had heard a lot about this place but frankly was disappointed. Food came cold and late.
We stopped at the bar for a drink on the way out and the bartender whoever she was gave us more attitude then I have seen in a long time.
Finally, the doorman made a comment about my friends breasts as we left. Will not go back.
