What People Are Saying About Mutt Lynch's

Mutt Lynch's

The Southern California version of a dockside bar if ever there were one, Mutt Lynch's is the kind of place that locals keep a closely guarded secret. Indeed, folks have nothing but praise for the kitchen's tasty grub, whether it's a breakfast omelet or a tasty, late-in-the-day pizza. Of course, Mutt's appeal reaches much further ? the waterside joint also serves some of Orange County's coldest brews, which are great for toasting incredible views of the bay. If you like "pub style" food and a sports bar atmosphere, this is the place for you!

Great burgers and beer
by thatguy6
This place looked liked fun from the outside and it was, the music varied but it was mostly hard rock, alcohol selection was big, i especially like the option of the big mug of beer. We odered burger, they tasted good but it was dumb that we had to add everything else on there for a fee, like to add cheese $0.75, fries $2, and so on, the burger by its self was already $9 so it came out to an expensive burger. The staff was alittle rude especially our waitress so ignored us for most of the time and went outside to throw around a football while we waited inside to be served, it also took her 20 minutes to get me just one beer. The location of the bar is really nice, you can see the beach, well so of it because ther is a parking lot between you and the beach.
- Pros: Food, ambiance, and beer
- Cons: staff and price
Biggest breakfast selection
by ocjc
I can't believe there are no mentions of Sunday Funday or the breakfast menu?! Maybe locals will hunt me down and do bad things for exposing this gem but screw it, I'm here for the uninformed! I dare you to find a better breakfast menu in a bar on planet earth. More selection than any place (outside your kitchen with a never-ending pantry) I've ever been. Just image every breakfast fare you've ever had and cram it onto 3 pages of Mutt's menu. Special variations are welcome, assuming your little creation isn't already on their list!
As for Sunday funday? Some say Sunday is the Lord's day and if Jesus did turn water into wine, he must be a drinker and therefore Sunday Funday truly is the Lord's day! Show up early unless your nipples tickle over waiting in lines in your spare time. The laddies pound giant goblet (schooners) of mimosas and personally, morning drinking is best done with very spicy bloody mary. Be warned, however, the bloody mary is Mutt's exception to their sans hard-A bar supply. Beers a plenty, pool tables, and a beach for drunken football across the street make Mutt's THE place for Sunday morning liver wars.
- Pros: Breakfast, schooners, beach
- Cons: Long lines and overcrowding during NFL games and most FRI, SAT nights
