Good Breakfast. While visiting California, we were in Newport Beach to see the ocean and happened to drive by Cappy's....it was very, very busy and so we decided to stop to eat. The portions are huge and they have tons to choose from....the music is really, really loud though and so it is hard to carry on a conversation. If you are in the area, go check it out....the staff was very friendly.

BEST Breakfast in So Cal!. This is by far the best breakfast in Orange County. The place has a very young, hip, beach vibe. The service was great and the food was delicious - reasonable prices and a HUGE menu. Plus, we saw Kobe Bryant eating on the patio - it's easy to see why this place has such a loyal fanbase - even celebrities like it!!

Loved it Loved it Loved it!!!. Everyone in Newport talks about how great Cappy's is for breakfast but I had never tried it. I finally went to see what all the buzz was about and will go definitely be back! Portions were huge - prices were low - and the atmosphere was young and hot. I had the protein omelette and my boyfriend had the stuffed french toast. Both were delicious and you definitely have to try out their full bar. Strong cocktails for $4 !!! Plus the place is SPOTLESS - cleanest restaurant in OC. Super friendly staff, great service, awesome food and a casual, fun, beach-y atmosphere. You must TRY IT!!

Great bang for your buck!. I first ate at Cappy's a few years ago, and have been back many times since! The food (breakfast and lunch) is delicious, and the wait staff are always friendly. It's a very "laid-back-but-cool" sort of place, with ocean murals covering the walls and fun 80s music playing in the background. I would definitely recommend Cappy's to a friend who was looking for a great place to get breakfast or lunch. Relaxed ambience + low prices + large portions = a good time for everyone! This one's definitely worth trying out.

Eat-At-Joes. We thought Cappy's was going to be a great breakfast find along PCH. It has a lot of character and promise. It took two more visits to realize it is really just large helpings of mediocre food and not our initial bad experience. Large menu with plenty of variety. This is a place to fill up if you dont care about flavor or how well it is prepared. Cover this food with lots of ketchup, salt/pepper, and Tabasco. Price matches the quality. Parking and access is easy. No view even though it is on PCH. Service is simple "hash slinging" style so dont try to get a conversation going or expect a smile from your server. I tell my friends that it as a very "basic Eat-At-Joes".
