What People Are Saying About Chart House Restaurant - Newport Beach
Featured Review

In Short – Founded in 1961 in Colorado, Chart House now has more than 25 U.S. locations. The restaurants, many of which occupy historic buildings, draw on the local region's natural features, making each one unique. Fresh fish and seafood dominate the menu with offerings like jumbo lump crab cakes, mahi mahi and Australian lobster tail. For landlubbers, there's prime rib, filet mignon and N.Y. strip steak. Sweet finishes include hot chocolate lava cake and raspberry creme brulee.

good food but extremely pricey

I have been to Chart House a couple of times, but only once to the one in Newport Beach. The food was good just like the others. But the price was expensive just like the others. If I was filthy rich, I would eat here more often, but my pockets are just not that deep. Service was average because it took a while before we got to order. Then we couldn't find our waiter for a while. But usually service is good at Chart House.
BEWARE

BEWARE--The ChartHouse provides a Valet service that is involuntary (your not allowed to park your own car) by SUNSET PARKING SERVICE.
During which time my vehicle was damaged I spoke to the General Manager (Christine) of the ChartHouse who basically passed the buck and informed me I needed to talk to the manager of the valet service she offered no apologies or empathy-she did however go out of her way to give me the number to the Valet service, even though I was their patron and my car was damaged while dining at their restaurant at which time my party and I spent a pretty penny.
Now I?m stuck going back and forth with SUNSET PARKING SERVICE, who refuse to take responsibility upon researching them I was horrified to find they have quite a few complaints and claims open from previous unhappy customers.
- Pros: Food
- Cons: Your car may not be the way you left it
Good food and service

I have been going to Chart House for quite some time. The food has always been good, especially the filet medallions. The only down side is that the ambience is kind of boring.
